Now it’s been a while since I’ve set up any AV equipment, but this was an eye opener!

It was quite easy to set up with the supplied room calibration mic, using “MCACC” (Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration System)

but difficult to get used to all the new audio features and their acronyms like: PQLS , Phase Control , DSD-to-PCM

The KEF speakers are fantastic! They are made of aluminium not plastic and the sound is crystal clear thanks to the Uni-Q technology.

And the Bluray player is great once you make it multi-region with the ebay hack remotes : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pioneer-D.../120651207588?clk_rvr_id=462912693195&afsrc=1

But the best thing is being able to control everything from your iPhone/iPad:

Sorry for quoting the post but how much did that cost and from where in particular? Still using a 5 shelf target oil rig that's had it's day and needs replacing asap but can never really find anything that approaches the ikea oppli that they discontinued.

Cheers

It'll hold six standard DVD player sized items, providing you don't attach the back panels to allow room for the cables. One issue though is if your receiver is in one side and the source the other you'd need a magic eye kit to control one unless you remove the sliding doors. Oh and the shelves are adjustable.

Was wondering about the cables tbh. So it is possible to not have the front doors and back panel on? Thinking of airflow and cable routing here first and foremost.

Shouldn't be a problem with regards to equipment. Got the following

Sky +
xbox 360 (worried about heat but if the front and back are off should be fine)
Mac Mini + usb drive + Cambridge Dacmagic linked via usb
Denon dm39

So that lot should fit in nicely with the squeezebox touch on top shelf (got the tv wall mounted, now to go measure and make sure it fits!

Thanks!

The doors are removable, its a bit fiddly but you can take them off and refit them without having to dismantle anything. As for the back panels I just didn't bother fitting them otherwise it made routing the cables awkward.

Oh and next's dimensions are wrong its 147L x 54H x 39D shelf size is 45w x 33D.
