Post Your Home Cine & HiFi Kit...

Looking good! RX6's will sound sweet. The x3000 does sound nice, or if you can find an avr3312, that would also sound nice.

For all the people wall mounting....(correct me if i'm wrong) but TV's ideally should be eye level. The centre of the TV to be precise should be level with your eyes!

Ergonomically speaking, the top line of the screen should be as close to eye level as possible when sitting down.

Yea, I wanted it lower, but the Mrs disagreed. You know, because she knows anything.

TBH we have feet for the sofa I want to put back on, which should help as that was my first comment when it was up. The swine.

So think my 609 should be back by Friday (they said). So I cancelled the X3000 in place of some Kef Q700s (had a credit note at the store, which didn't do MA stuff!) Should finish off the stuff nicely mind.

How big is that screen? It looks small for a PJ screen?

EDIT 92? Really? Looks smaller than that.

Also your so close to it it must look very pixelated up so close no?

It's definitely a 92 inch screen, maybe the photos slight angle is making it seem smaller. I can't say I notice any pixelation at that range, pixels are only visible once you are about 5-10cm from the screen and even then they are tiny (approximately 1mm at 1080p). I don't normaly play fps' on it, the scale is a bit disorienting but driving games and other pad controlled games are fantastic from the sofa. My throw distance is 3.7m to the 92 inch screen. Really is one of the best things I have ever bought and gets used nearly every day.

protectors don't pixalate as bad like a monitor would, their display technology is different. My 84" DLP requires you to get 15cm from the face of the screen before you see pixels @ 1080p !!

having said that, im going to sell my DLP. Its sat in a box now. Amazing immersion but there not 1:1 perfect like a monitor due to minor fluctuations in screen geometry, furthermore who will need a large screen other than for movies where a TV will do when the oculus rift is out or Valves-VR ships ??

they offer true 3D that blows shutter glass out of the water and wide fovs, tilt and lean etc.. you will only need 1 27" 1440p monitor, 1 50" TV for movies, but even then if the resolution is high enough you could watch movies using the VR headset in a virtual theatre

Added a few more boxes

From the top
phonoX
dab8
psxr
cdxtse
stream
psxr
vs2 preamp
xpower mono
xpower mono
psxr
psxr

Forgive my ignorance, but does it really add that much better to the quality of sound clarity adding that many psxr's, that is some stack, i know many can get carried away with that many racks and such, what really is the gain in doing so.

The psxr is a good upgrade to Cyrus seperates but they only work for one unit only.

How they work depends on what they are used with for instance on the preamp it has a onboard psu that powers everything but when you add a psxr that powers only the analogue section and leaves the onboard to work the non musical parts.

Adding a psxr to the power amp boosts power and gives a cleaner supply.

Best way to upgrade hifi is to add high quality psu not cheap at £500 each psxr but worth it for what they do to enhance the sound.

Nice I need one of these in my life :)

You won't regret it, go and demo a decent 1080p projector it'll blow you away. I don't watch much tv so a big tv was a bit pointless and I find them a bit over dominating in a room. Also why I opted for a motorized screen, when not in use it's nicely hidden :)

Awesome centre speaker mate. It's the one I really wanted to go with my GS10 s. It was just a tad to big to fit in my av cabinet. Had to get the RSLCR instead as it's a little smaller. Even that only has around 3mm clearance.
