Post Your Home Cine & HiFi Kit...

Surely with the size of those left and right speakers, you'd be better off with floorstanders? probably take up a similar space.

Had this setup in my flat and only just moved into the new place. Can't say I'm really too fussed about changing anything for now, plenty loud as it is. Something I'll no doubt consider in the future but all works just fine for now.

Moved into a new build a couple of months ago, its still very bare, work in progress however the setup is coming along nicely and a few upgrades in the pipeline as all the kit is fairly old. Also just waiting for an extra pair of hands to help mount the projector screen on the ceiling.

Panasonic Viera TH-42PZ80, must be coming up around 8 or 9 years old now and still going strong. Plan on getting something new in March next year. Possibly OLED but ill wait and see.

Sony Str2400es, be upgrading next year as it doesn't support 4k or HDR

Optoma HD131X, still does the job but again might consider an upgrade in the next year or so. Homegear manual 120" screen.

Q acoustics 1010i 5.1. Still to sort out the rear speakers but having issues with placement. No plans to upgrade the speakers for now.

Nice looking setup! I wouldn't bother changing the TV (especially as you've got a projector setup too). I upgraded from the exact same screen to a 50" P50V20B and it's not significantly better (just bigger :D) and I certainly don't feel the need to upgrade as I can't imagine anything (that I could afford) could be significantly better than this currently. OLED would be the only choice, but take your time! If you're happy with the size, hang fire. I'd concentrate on upgrading the projector and the AV amp to provide 4K capability first. Your living room looks really smart.

Thank you and thanks for the advice.

I take it the old panny plasmas are still holding there own for now then? My main reason for upgrading was to take advantage of my new Xbox one s for the HDR. I was thinking of going for a 55" or bigger for the new tv, for some reason when playing online shooters and the like I end up on the TV but for single player stuff and less fast paced games I use the projector.

4k projectors still seem very expensive for now, would be nice but think they are still a bit out my price range.

Spent Sunday putting up my projector screen after bringing it to Portugal on the plane.

I am genuinely amazed at how robust these things are. I was fully expecting it not to work. Specially after the way baggage handlers treat things.

But alas no, it has been perfect :)

Projector arriving in a couple of weeks I'll get that up and then hopefully get some pictures up of my relocated setup :)
