Whereas I just took a photo as soon as I'd plugged it all in. It's a bit neater now, but the stand is transparent perspex so they'll always be visible to some degree.

What's more annoying (and would definitely give Howard a stroke) is that I have started sorting the cables out with conduit etc...but not had time to finish it.

Thought I'd throw my home AV setup into the mix. It's nothing special, but I love it :)

Samsung 48" UE48J6300
Pioneer VSX-329 Amp
Tannoy F1 speakers
Yamaha subwoofer
Sky HD box
Sony BR player
Logitech harmony hub and remote

I bought the television for three reasons. One, it was a What WiFi 2015 award winner. Two, my old Samsung broke and I needed a replacement. Three, I got £406 in warranty money from said Samsung TV breaking and Richer Sounds sold this one to me for £399  I've had the Tannoy speakers for years and find them to sound great. They also seem to compliment Pioneer AMP's really well, which I've no issue with as I really rate the brand.

I've only just moved into the house, but long term I will be wall mounting the television again. I've definitely got a few mistakes to learn from the first time I did it (run enough cables!). I also need speaker stands.

Here's a quick show of my 'cinema'.

From the top a couple of Mordaunt short MS302's as the front height speakers, the TV is an LG OLED55B6V, Linn Centrik centre speaker and Linn Keilidh front speakers running in Aktiv mode. Then there's a Squeezebox for playing music from the server in FLAC format.

Below that is the Amazon TV, Sky HD box and Panasonic DMP-UB900EBK, next to that a Tag McLaren CD20R, Tag McLaren DAC20 and an Audiolab 8000S heavily modified by Kevin at The AudioCellar where the power stage has been stripped out and replaced with the Linn Aktiv cards.

Below that is a Marantz SR6011 (front and centre channels go through the Audiolab 8000s to the Aktiv cards and to the power amps). Next to that is a Tag McLaren 4x100r that power the four rear speakers - two rear height and two rear surround (also Mordaunt short SR302's), and on the bottom shelf is another two Tag McLaren 4x100r amplifiers that power the front and centre channels.

Subwoofer is an old (but great!) Yamaha YST-SW305.

We're due a TV change soon, we've got a 60" plasma which is great but there's screen burn of the sky pause logo (why on earth doesn't that disappear?!) and we'd like something thinner and bigger and I'd like to give 4k a shot.

We're talking ourselves into an LG OLED but I keep flip flopping over the fact I know I can get 2 half decent LEDs for the same price..

Is it that much better?

Do they get screen burn?

Would I be better getting a decent Sony/Samsung LED?

I love/hate telly choosing time, I normally tie myself in knots but end up with something new and shiny!
