Post Your Home Cine & HiFi Kit...

@8 Pack, the pictures make the room look a lot smaller than that. I don't think the door being where it is help, the speakers look a bit bunched up. Could you not have reversed the room so that the front speakers were along the opposite wall?

@RussZS, a NAD C352 powering the 603s. I also have a Yamaha RX-A1010 running an LCR60 centre and 601 S3s as rears. My stereo sources go straight into the NAD and any surround capable sources connect to the Yamaha. The Yamaha's front pre-outs also connect to the NAD. Not the most elegant setup as it means I have to match the volume between the Yamaha and the NAD, but means I get to enjoy a true stereo system when just listening to music and have the capabilities of a 5.1 system for movies.

I really like the 603s, a very capable speaker. I have absolutely no need to change, I'm just drawn into the CM's very attractive design.

Often the best way to get good hifi performance at the same time as an AV setup. I did similar for a while but the Arcam sounds nice enough to be a one box solution. I'm a big NAD fan, would love their Master Series Processor/Power Amp

Jesus 8-Pack, thats some serious setup. I thought of you more as a 8ft Cerwin Vega bass cab with an eBay power amp kinda guy. :p
Never judge a book by its cover!!! Judge it by the sound it makes when you turn the pages!!!

I have been into hifi and sound production since I was around 16 had a lot of kit.

I play piano pretty well.

To me the meridians sound most like the live musical performance you can hear the performance right in front and to the side of you...

Cerwins are full on terrible....

Wasn't trying to **** on your parade @8 Pack, I'm sure it sounds absolutely superb. It just looks a little cramped.

My room is 5x4m with a doorway just out of shot to the left. Wall to wall in these pictures is 3m across.

Please please do not judge me for the decor :D I bought the house last year and it needs a new roof and heating system overhaul before I even start to look at decorating.

Kit is nothing fancy, most of it is 2nd hand but it works well. Cheeky BK Monolith Plus hiding in the corner there and a pair of B&W 601 S3s at the rear.

Bloody hell, bit critical you guys! :D That toy you are referring to @Acme is my son's pencil case. I'm going to have to move it and reupload the picture now aren't I... what has been seen...

Re the decoration, I don't see the room when the lights are off and I'm watching a film so it's all good :p

@Marvt74, did you completely miss the bunch of purple cables coming down from the ceiling ;) When I decorate the room I'll probably have terminal plates and chase the cable into the wall and above the ceiling. It's already not the most appealing room so what are a few cables between friends.

lmao :D :D

Purple cables are network cables, solid copper so not very flexible. Not much I can do with them apart from putting them in trunking but that'd look worse. I think you guys are perhaps being a little over critical of a room I've already said I'd be decorating :D Just focus on the bits with flashy lights on, haha

No chance!

Even more paint has chipped off them recently! I'm getting close to convincing the wife to put speakers either side of that TV unit. Was trying to convince her that some Shahinian Obelisks would fit in beautifully because they're not too tall. They're bloody wide though!
