@krooton nice dude I remember those speakers being well reviewed for the price. Looks a good bang for buck setup
I was gonna say back in the day ha ha.. never got round to trying themGot em for £75 back in 2012, they have been flawless all these years
@melmac do you use those headphones for gaming? If so is the 3D audio any good
I do and I think the 3D audio is superb on them.
I'm currently rocking my Dali Concept 6 floor standers that I bought circa 2004! For years they were powered by my Marantz PM7200 stereo amp. I love them.
When I first moved in, I very quickly put up a cheap projector screen and built a pelmet around it. The idea was to sort something more permanent (and less plain) a year or two after we've moved in to allow for snags to be sorted before really decorating etc. Just so happens that I waited 4 years.. oh well
Last year I did a bit of work to make the living room a bit more interesting instead of a plain wall. The only things I bought were the Marantz amp and fireplace really, I went speaker shopping but never committed.
Literally the only thing I paid someone to do was plaster the chimney breast, so pretty pleased with myself, even if it was a simple enough build.

Last pic highlights that it's dying for a centre speaker and for the TV to be wall mounted above it!
At the beginning of the year I treated myself to a LG GX 65 inch OLED after owning a 55 inch Samsung ES8000 for many years. The picture upgrade is unbelievable, and the tv is just less than 20mm thick so it looks like a painting on the wall.
I already had all the other kit so I drew up and made myself the AV unit from sawn up scaffold boards and stained it to match the speakers.
Unfortunately I’m not able to run cables through the wall but I’m happy with the outcome of this! The speakers are for hifi use only, maybe one day I’ll get a soundbar for the tv.
Great job! The stain is a nice shade.
Magnolia wall though
tv unit looks great
why not buy a DAC and run the telly into your speakers? They will mop the floor with TV speakers and most sound bars
Agree with both of these statements! I use a DAC to run everything through my Hifi setup and it’s brilliant.
