Need to get some rubber pads for under the Q3's, really limited with what i can do with them at the moment with me being in uni halls :(

How are you finding this setup? I'm thinking of investing in something very similar but I'm unsure whether to get a NAD or CA amplifier (with either the DACMagic or Beresford DAC). Also, are they the Q1s or Q3s?

photoshop, how did you find the upgrade from the C315BEE to the C325BEE?

You going to put it the right way up?!? My bass has the speaker pointing to the floor?

that is the right way up! my velodyne points out rather than down also, a lot of subs are done like that.

gjc10212 - how have you found the room eq on the JL, thats one of the main reasons i would want it over the velodyne as the response in my room varies a lot.

Samsung 5 series 46"
Mission M74i fronts, M7C2 centre, M7DS rears (not shown)
Mordaunt-Short ms309 sub
Audiolab 8000a powering fronts
Marantz 4200 reciever powering centre/rears

All sourced from HTPC (including ffdshow upscaled live TV via media centre, makes a huge difference over the built in freeview)

Samsung LE37M86BD
Marantz sr5300 (purchased this in 2002)
Gale speakers
Sky+ HD
oppo-981hd
Harmony 555 Universal Remote

next on the list is a decent dvd upscaler, thinking Marantz dv6001 or a denon1940
Then a blu-ray player.

Then at some point I really need a new hdmi amp, But I would want to spend a bit of money on it and get all the sound decoding.

The upgrade was worth it. Sound is a lot better.
There is more bass and sound is a lot clearer. More noticeably clearer when turned higher than normal when watching a movie. I found the sound is a lot flat'er on the 315 but this is not the case with the 325. The 325 is ceratainly more atmospheric.

A very worth while upgrade!

quite probably but they are expensive..
Also want a 360 to stream media from the pc and a wii for entertaining.. 3 consoles seems a bit over kill.
But a 360 is so much cheaper especially 2nd hand than a htpc.
Unless im mistaken, PS3s are still cheaper/comparable in price to dedicated players, and are the only BR players that can be guaranteed to be able to be updated if needed, along with other advantages?
Not sure now though, perhaps standalones have come along a bit...?
