You probably made it faster putting an aosp rom on there

You can get icons everywhere, the play store has icon packs, xda, deviant art.

Wallpapers at the usual places like wallbase, deviantart, interfacelift.

is there a website which is good at tutorials telling me how to customize android? im a member of dev art so thats sorted

this new rom is lightning quick compared to stock! so glad i took the time to learn how to do it. cm10 doesn't want to boot though... which was odd. so i'll stick with PA on my phone for now.

Not sure of any tutorials, if you can flash the one S to a custom ROM, you should be able to change icons, wallpapers etc.!!!!

Installing nova launcher etc. is the base for desktop customisation, just hold down on dock icons to bring up options, go through nova settings for tweaks and then find widgets/apps on the market and have a search through the built in skins or download some from the market.

haha i think i fluked the custom rom tbh i thought id bricked the phone when CM10 wouldnt boot.


i see, so its just a case of messing about with it til i find a style that i like. i'll give it go

Yup pretty much, word of warning, prepare to spend days, if not weeks fiddling away till you get something that you like and then changing it again in a few days time! Got to love android

deffo brown pants moment, my girlfriend was like, why do you have to mess with things now you've bloody broken it! :s

a bit like my phone habbits.... i'll have a new phone next month, and then start all over again thinking my next phone will be the xperia z! not gonna flash that until a good few months have passed though..

I try to avoid root and flashing roms etc. now as I have found that there is always little annoying niggles and can be a right pita if they happen when out and about, however, I am getting pretty tempted to play around now......

Yeah the xperia Z and zl look superb Going to wait for Samsung and HTC next lot of phones. Unfortunately not many phones will be using samoled screens




I have changed my home screen by quite a bit now, will upload a screenshot or photo later.

Also removed the minimalistic text widgets, using icons that were posted by reflux a few pages ago and slightly different colouring to text stuff etc. I am pretty pleased with it but you won't like due to the image being too bright/light
