Post your most INTENSE game moment

Anytime in Raven Shield when i had killed 6 or more (8 per team) in a round and was gritting my teeth and actually doing that thing where u push back in ur chair to step back faster :D to get the last 2 for a clean sweep :)

1. Witchspace

2. The Shoggoth in COC DCOTE

3. Heart of The Tiger (all of it)

4. Le Chucks Revenge ( I AM your father)

The first time I walked through here ALWAYS stuck in the memory, the pinnacle of level design imo

Everytime there was a huge 3-way battle in DAoC :)

This.

And huge relic raids.

Most memorable is when we (mids) killstolen Legion from the hibs :o!!

There was about 4 full groups of hibs in the legion chamber all concentrating on him so we (less than 2 full groups) managed to get in, mezz 99% of the hibs and killsteal legion before anyone could really react :D

He was on about 1% health though!

Ignoring multiplayer games as other people won't recognise those unique experiences, I'd say probably something from the CoD series. Infinity Ward do INTENSE incredibly well in terms of beach landings, stalingrad, and chaotic scenes in the modern warfare games.

It's actually quite staggering if you compare the best of IW's set pieces with the majority of FPS games, they just seem so artificial in comparison, in terms of lacking atmosphere around you. They are very, very good at pushing you down a rollercoaster path and making it feel like you are part of something bigger.

In fact CoD was that intense that it is one of very, very few games that I've completed less than a day after installing it, it just kept driving me forwards. Their games are actually quite short compared to some but the quality of the action is so high that I don't mind.

Avp, the 1st one when your were half way down a dark corridor and the motion sensor started to beep, fantastic feeling :D

Also the final assault in max Payne gunning your way through the corridor of the sky scrapper was good.

And the mission in star craft when you are left on the zerg planet can get pretty intense by the end.

Been so many!

The final fight in MGS2 - had spunked all my medkits on the last fight, so had 1/3 bar of health with no better save to go back to. Took me about 30 goes to get him down - when I finally did it, I threw my controller across the room and humped the TV, Pure Pwnage style :D

Vaelstraz (Boss fight in vanilla WoW) we were pushing for server first, it's an amazingly intense fight as it is, but we knew that there were other guilds trying to get him down at that exact time as well. When we got him down for the server first, everyone was screaming on Vent, it was like we'd just won the world cup and got to take a supermodel home with us - our tank actually broke his keyboard in the fight :)

Resident Evil 1 - when the dogs come in through the window. Me and my mate were playing it in the kitchen in the middle of the day. When that happened, we both started shrieking like little girls, absolute classic!

Someone else mentioned the final scene in Halo - that's definitely an epic piece of gaming there, the relief when you make it is awesome.

I'm going to add the run up to the end of mass effect 1 which really had the sense that you was racing against time. Utterly epic story telling as well in that game. Really enjoyable

although quite slow paced i actually found some moments in the Brothers in Arms series. the first 2 games had a couple of good moments for me though its been so long since i played them i cant remember the exact missions. though i remember in Hells Highway i got really freaked by the hospital part. the atmosphere was seriously intense! IMO i found these games on par with the COD series even though they arent as intense action oriented.

Anything in Ultima Online. Mostly the intense faction fights that would last hours on end until we ran out of reagants!

Best MMO ever to be created, miss it dearly! :(

Most PvP fights in Eve Online were pretty intense.

Probably the Alliance Tournament match a few years ago with Triumvirate vs KIA as one of the Guardian pilots was the most intense, trying to survive as long as possible on a few mm of hull.

Resident Evil 5, 2-3 boss fight on Professional with A.I. Partner. About 70 retries and countless "SHOOT HIM IN THE ****ING FACE!!!" requests. Still haven't completed it on the 360 because of this.

Other than that, I don't have the video any more but in Unreal Tournament 2004 there is a small Death Match map called Training Day, it's good for at most 4 people. The server admins over at Titan decided it would be a great to do 32 players and what do we all vote for? yep, Training Day. Complete chaos.
