I was in the UK near Brummyland for a visit the other day and was walking with an American colleague and no sooner had a bunch of local scrotes heard his accent than they started verbally abusing him as we walked off into the distance.

While this is but a mild and brief encounter with Chavdom, it got me thinking that you guys must have some good chav encounter stories that will give me a chuckle/groan/wince on a quiet evening at home.

So ladies and gents, anyone got any past of recent stories to share? :)

You sure that's not just because he was American? :p

Nah, I used to live in Harrow, where Chavvy/Gangstah/Wannabe/whatevertheyare encounters occurred hourly. It's all blurred into one Vicky Pollardy mess that I have long since banished to the darkest corners of my memory.

Nothing amusing my end unfortunately but they seem to fall into two catagories in my area they see a large guy in a suit it's either trying to prove something to their mates and try to initiate a fight or asking for money as "clearly I can afford it wearing a suit".

Some of them have rather attractive girlfriends I feel bad for them lol.

house at the end of the street next to my development, can see the road from my balcony

over a period of months various disturbances - man arguing with wife walking along road, she's occasionally hitting him, he's yelling at her... they go into house, more yelling.. think he's now hit her back a few times...

kid gets bought a scooter - decides it is fun to race about doing circuits round the various nearby streets, not wearing a helmet or really going anywhere

more disturbances from the house

police car seen on a few occasions

over the weeks they're living there somehow a drainpipe has become detached from the side of the building and the fence along the side of the house has partially collapsed... they seemingly don't care - it is a relatively new property <10 years old with no real reason for a fence to collapse or drainpipe to just fall off

one evening a whole flock of chav scum seems to be congregated around the front of the house, loud music blaring from the garden... it is a weeknight - assume the teenage son must be home alone and throwing a party... later in the evening it seems some neighbour has called the police... then the dad emerges and start shouting at the police to leave his family alone, something about a birthday...

few months later they're being evicted

they didn't personally bother me, I just got to view it from a distance from my balcony... fortunately we employ a security guard etc.. I'd be rather miffed if I was living next door to them or on their street which I understand is partially housing association properties

it did however highlight why people don't want to live next to social housing tenants

Glanced over someone's wall once. Got shouted at for looking at his weed plants or something, then got chased by him and his fat rottweilers.

My missus asked one of the girls who lives a few doors away if her baby brother goes with her and her sister when they visit their dad on a weekend.

"No, we're not sure if he's got the same dad or if his dad is our grandad."

Was on my way home from work the other morning,Seen one guy on a push bike with a Burberry hat on messing around with empty cans on beer left on a wall  ,I took no notice and carried on.

Next thing i know hes rushing up behind me on his bike and said "How you like your bike"..at this point i was getting ready to punch him in the face as i turned around thinking he was going to try and nick it off me,But as i was in a public place with plenty of cars passing and people,i looked at him slightly startled and he pointed down at his bike and he had the same brand bike but older and lower end..i then realised why he said what he said..he was asking a lot of questions about it and i had a little conversation with him.

He then want on to saying he would like a new bike but because of been out of work and jobcentre taking him to court or something over fake claims etc and him having to pay it all back he couldn't afford it..

Then said,I seen a decent bike going cheap in cash converters,And i replied saying that's cheap for that brand its probably nicked, and he replies.."i don't care about that"..i then thought..yep about time i moved on..

Dont get me wrong,Il talk to anyone..im no better than anyone but people like this i cant stand,i just don't like associating with these type of people, especially one that rushes up behind you then later mentions he don't care about stolen bikes, and is known to lie to the jobcentre lol.
i made sure he didn't follow me home either.

I was wondering how many posts it would take before the keyboard warriors started telling us all about how they'd smacked a chav and sent him running away like a girl.

/edit - I see it's now been edited

Keyboard warriors are not to be trifled with... I've been hit with a keyboard and lemme tell you, it flippin' well hurt!! :D

I'm not a keyboard warrior but thanks all the same, the op asked for stories and that's one of many that have happened. The reason for the edit is its a family forum and this isnt the place to post something like that. A keyboard warrior is someone who talks rubbish online at another person directly isnt it? which i wasnt doing but again thanks. First time ive ever seen a genuine douche comment on ocuk.

I didn't think it was a keyboard warrior type of post either.

Does mentioning that you got into a situation where you ended up hitting someone make you a keyboard warrior unless you've made it all up and/or are only doing it to try and look hard on the internet?

I don't think that applies here.

And

There you go again, your like a broken record banging on about social housing it's getting rather boring.
