Post your Ps3 Faqs here.

As I'm going to be using a HDMI to DVI connection, how do I go about setting up a resolution or can I only choose standard HD resolutions

is it better to watch blu-ray films at 1080i or 720p if you not got 1080p?

I havent used mine to watch any bluray movies but when playing games i can only say that 1080i looks better. I think what you would find is all down to personal preferences.

Once you do the connection > display settings. All the options are in there. :)

EDIT
I havent used the dvi connection before so am not sure about picking a standard HD res. However, like i said the options are in there - Very easy to use.

Still find it amusing after all this time youve had one.
Particulary as quite a few films ARE region free USA 60 HZ and certainly would cost you a lot less than your import games youve already bought. Dont believe the aint got time bit for a second, if exams were that important youd be on here a lot less too.

Blu Ray is afterall one of the systems best features.

"Yesterday we reported the basics on what firmware 1.60 would bring to the Playstation 3, today we have the gritty details and I'm both happy and a little disappointed.

The new firmware, which hits the U.S. on Thursday, will come with the coolio Folding@home program, support for Bluetooth mice and keyboards, a new full QWERTY on-screen keyboard, web browsing zoom, the ability to choose whether a disc should start automatically when you insert it into the PS3 and playback of rewriteable Blu-ray Discs.

But what I, and probably most of you, really care about are the specifics for Remote Play and background downloading.

The PS3 downloading appears to have been, I don't know, half fixed. While you can now queue up to six downloads at at time and you will be able to do so while accessing videos, photos or music from the harddrive or even browsing the web, you won't be able to use the Blu-ray drive to play movies or games as you download.

While that sort of sucks, at least the PS3 will, I believe, auto-manage all of this so you won't have to manually go in and start and stop downloads.

I was hoping that rumors of a Remote Play upgrade meant that they were going to be adding some additional functionality to the feature that lets you access music, photos and videos on your PS3 with your PSP wirelessly. Turns out the upgrade just adds that functionality to the 20 GB version of the console."

Some more details on the next firmware update. Can you see the bit which grabbed my attention?

Yeah but i would have preffered the who download and play thing to be fully fixed....

I also like the re-writeable Blu-ray read feature, especially if they cook up some 8cm BD-R discs and use them in the Sony HD HandyCams. Maybe next year's models will have them. Can you tell I'm a HD-freak yet?

PS2 games, if using HDMI connections will they play or do you have to swap leads, thinking in advance for a God of War 2 purchase

Nope, you can run it through HDMI, but as with all HD stuff everything is a lot clearer (including jaggies)

Check the compatibility list first. It depend on how compatible it is with the ps3 (or how well the emulation software can pull it off). Hdmi connections would make the rough egdes well obvious.......but check the compatibility list first.

EDIT
Jumpurs said what am trying to say already.
