Haha wicked.

Looks nicer than my flatmates room did the morning after the first night here.
He had had a few to many and lets just say he redecorated......
Stank the flat out.

He was the first person in the year to test out the washing machines here though.

So, you stay in a house with 5 people you hardly know and share a toilet and shower etc with them. Wheres the fun in that?
Do you even get a room each?

Bear in mind you'll probably end up in halls in your first year, so it's not a house. So you'll be in a flat or on a floor with random people, but if you don't make friends with them chances are you'll make friends from other flats/floors. Then hopefully you'll have friends to live with for your second, third and in some cases fourth year.

Ah the joys of living at home.

Sky tv on a wall mounted 28" LCD, DVD player, Xbox, Desktop PC, Laptop, Double bed, nice bathroom, fully fitted and cleaned kitchen, lounge, garden, personal driving space....ahhh luxury!

I'm glad I live close enough to uni to live at home. The only annoying thing is having to travel for 1.5 hours to get there and the same home because of stupid traffic.

Did that in year 2, was regretting it by christmas/January, meeting new people in halls etc is allways best imo, sure you have the home comforts etc but if you wanna pop into uni for an hour its a dilema.

I would hate to live at home while I went to uni. Even though my parents are pretty relaxed I still would not like to come in at stupid times, or bring girls back that much. Not to mention you make good friends with your housemates and learn to become a more independant person. Over summer holidays I really missed my uni flat and the freedom to do whatever you want.

I live less than 15 miles away (probably around 7 miles) so I can't get a room in halls. I'll maybe consider renting a room in a house nearby next year.

I made that mistake in my first year, glad mine is a 4 year course, as I soon realised I missed far far too much living away from uni. But to some it's better if your main social group(s) aren't at uni.

Edit... From your other post, you'll be doing what I did, as long as you've got good housemates, it's all great

Must have a bit of a walk to lectures etc. from the Village?
