** POTENTIALLY THE BEST GAMING MONITORS YET!! ** Acer 34" Ultra-wides

hi just had my x34 sent back from acer warranty
I was having half the screen go black on boot up but once windows 10 loaded it was fine.
So acer had it sent for repair they have shipped it back saying they can't find any fault with it after different checks, testing on two different pc's
Now I am running my same pc with a spare screen it also has no problems at all...
So does anyone have any suggestions as to what may cause this backlIght issue or a potential fix ?

did you go fetch it or is it being delivered?

some clarification on why they are B grade would be nice, was it just missing manuals etc or are they damaged packaging or dead pixel/bleed issue returns?

very good offer at that price though.

I enquired:

Hello!

More than likely due to backlight bleed... Possibly other reasons though I'm assuming it's going to be because of backlight bleed.

Na I spoken to Cs and just ordered it I don't mind if it has a bit of blb for that price long as it doesn't have dead pixels.

Considering I was set for the 40" Iilayma so this came up it was too much of a bargain to turn down.

Just done he same and bought one of the b grade ones. Have to wait and see what turns up! At that price I thought 'why not?'

I'd deal with BLB for that price. Most of the photos of I've seen of new units suffer from BLB anyway.

I would be more concerned about scratches and/or dead pixels though.

It's 500 quid hardly gonna care about a bit of bleed hardly going to stare at a black screen all the time I'll use it and turn it off no big deal tbh.

It would have to be so bad to bother me if it is I'll send it back but i don't think it will be I bought a ips 29" dell off b grade over a year ago and no problem with that one.

That's exactly my concern. £500 is still a big chunk of change to lose. These panels are being stretched to their limit with a 40Hz overclock, so even if you got on without any obvious visual faults, I'm really not sure how comfortable I'd be... would be a constant worry personally.
