** POTENTIALLY THE BEST GAMING MONITORS YET!! ** Acer 34" Ultra-wides

Think mine probably shared the van ride down the M5:D, like yourself thought I would take a punt on it, I received a built Nov unit

I plugged it in and checked for an hour for issues, no flickering/on-off and blb looks fine to me, its there if i turn the lights off and stare at a black screen but as I don't intend to do that much its fine. I did take a picture and it looks similar smurfins picture but the picture doesn't represent what I see looking at it, no where near as bad?

Happy I set about stripping down my eyefinity and got the Acer setup, eventually after fighting with the mount for an hour.

once finished fired it up and very briefly my **** fell out, screen would blank out for several to 10 seconds then back on :(. Before Panic set in too bad I pulled the display cable and threw another in and it came to life.

Touch wood its been fine for several hours. Over all happy with it.

Looks sweet Gmaan. Would you mind sharing a link to your wallpaper?

Some say it reduces after a few days as well as massaging the screen with a cloth, you got 14 days so give it a couple of days and no improvement then contact ocuk via here:

Hrm, thanks for the tip, though I'm hesitant to apply pressure to it, just feels like a potentially bad idea.

Took some potato cam photos at various brightnesses, any idea what to think?
At 100% brightness: A7NmTI3.jpg

At 80% brightness: vXHh51L.jpg

At 50% brightness: 2Ujfkxp.jpg

At 20% brightness ecZ719K.jpg

Anything on the right is fine, same for the blue glow (which is, from what I understand, actually the IPS glow). The yellow top left is even noticeable during the day, though, in dark scenes (at 60%ish brightness).

How does that stack up to others' impressions or am I just overly nit-picky?

Rubbing the bezels with a cloth worked for me. Nothing to worry about. :)

20% looks pretty decent.

Decide on your brightness first and if you don't notice any bleed or severe IPS glow in normal usage then I would just keep it, chances are you could get a worst one if you go through the RMA lottery game.

I find my 29um65 to be incredibly bright so I keep the brightness setting to <10%, which iirc, is less than 100 luminance.

Yeah, that's what I settled on after (finally) having some time to go and actually play Elite for a bit. :D If the 20% BLB was at, say, 30-40%ish, I wouldn't be perfectly happy, it's just a borderline nuisance.

No trapped dust or dead/stuck pixels is much, much more important than having the convenience of not adjusting the brightness every now and then for a handful of games in the evening.

Cheers for the advice/input, folks! :)
