Just been reading further shipments are being delayed in Europe too. Seeing dates of 14th and 20th Nov.

This was from a what beanS come in UK supplier

It is with regret we have to inform you of a further delay to the following item:

LN65130 - 34 Acer Pred X34 Curved G-Sync

The item above is a new release and the manufacturer has advised stock into the Uk as a whole has been delayed.
We are awaiting a new lead date and we will email you with further updates once we receive them from the suppliers
and manufacturers.

Its looking likely. I did an online chat and the operative confirmed thats what they had received officially from Acer.

I am a bit disappointed actually as even though I am not buying one I wanted to at least see if this time the people who have already ordered one get a gem and not a turd.

Well it looks like this delay will give competitors an opening to get some information out about their 34" G-Sync monitors at the least! BenQ et al, and will give them a little competition in the pricing ;)
 
I'm disappointed my first post is to say I was looking forward to ordering one today though I was waiting for definite stock before pressing the button!

Coincidentally I just sold my spare Asus VG278 144Hz panel this morning in prep as I've got too many monitors as it is.

Oh well I've been simulating the 34" 21:9 aspect on a 40" UHD monitor (AMH 399U) in the mean time which convinced me this aspect ratio was for me.
 
I was really hoping to cut them some slack with this one but the units are in the UK, all they had to do was update the firmware and now its going back 6 weeks? Just, bizarre.

OC still have them as today.

I recieved the same email. The same supplier emailed again this morning saying the following.

Further to your order: XXXXXXX

Unfortunately the following item is currently out of stock:

LN65130 - 34 Acer Pred X34 Curved G-Sync

We are expecting our stock levels to be replenished on 23/10/2015 if you are able to wait.

Once the item arrives back into stock the order will be picked and completed for you as a matter of urgency

Thank you in advance for your patience and co-operation.

I'm not holding much hope of a release date this early as other retailers are now showing mid-November.
 
OC seem to have no idea about any delay judging by my conversation this morning (or maybe communication is poor in the CS department). I was told it will hopefully turn up today or at the very least a new ETA.

Strange when Gibbo stated OC and Acer were pretty tight.
 
When i called about my pre-order yesterday
i was told it could be potentially here this Saturday
if not on Monday..
but i am not sure the ocuk sales team even know themselves.
just have to keep waiting i guess.
 
If it's delayed again, Acer are seriously taking the proverbial. Three ETA changes, and two two week delays to rectify an issue that should have been caught during the final stages of testing for a £950 monitor? And if OcUK are affected by this delay yet aren't telling us until the very last minute, that a serious communication issue on their part.

That said, it's worth keeping in mind that OcUK have a huge stock allocation compared to other retailers, so what is said by other retailers may apply differently here. We'll wait and see, but unless OcUK know they will be getting stock on time I have no idea why they would be holding back information.
 
The delays aren't really that important. Its whether these monitors turn out to be plagued by the same issues as the previous Predator's after the delays...

They have an awful lot of our cash in their bank account. :)
 
I've just called Acer direct to query and they've advised they will be released throughout Q4 depending on distributor.

They said the reality is that it's going to be late November at the earliest and HOPEFULLY before Christmas. Time to cancel the pre-order for me.
 
Have called up OcUK and apparently the sales team have not been informed of anything regarding delays for these monitors, so either OcUK are to receive their allocation today or someone in the chain has not passed anything on.

All completely up in the air at the moment, but how it can become a further 6-7 week delay in the space of two days is beyond me.
 
I don't think UK are going to get stock till late November going by what Acer said, planning to order mine from Germany on the 14th (delivery ~19th) now.
