Yeah you have to be careful since some places haven't updated the names since they made them more distinguishable.

What are the odds on us hearing something today? Not good I imagine.
 
It is a bit disheartening to learn that other retailers are informing their customers of delays on their pre-order or have at least been updating them with information where as I have had to find all the info out from forums, not a peep from OC. :(

I am fairly patient so am not cancelling my pre-order
 
It's real bad for both Acer and OC. Some communication that its worth continuing to let them hold on to our money is all it takes.

Sound like a real whingebag but the lack of communication is really bad.
 
First world problems... But this is why I've stopped pre-ordering things. I get to keep my money until there's actually a product or service there, that I've read reviews on, to exchange it for. Actually I question the wisdom in buying any gaming monitor from Acer atm. The only thing that keeps me interested in this one are the promises made by LG about its manufacturing changes.

Still, I hope for all the pre-order people that it turns up soon. I know how frustrating it can feel.

I contacted OcUK via webnote earlier, chap said that they've been told by the purchaser that the lead time is 1-2 weeks, in line with the 23rd October date quoted by a competitor.

This isn't OcUK's fault so why OcUK are so quite on the matter I don't know.

I've suggested that somebody posts on the forums, whether or not this happens remains to be seen. Gibbo seems keen to post deals and information or other products (Asus PG279Q) in other threads however no response here.
 
The update is well there is no update, as previously stated stock landed in UK, but Acer re-called the stock to re-flash it.

For the last several weeks I have either being on vacation or overseas and at the moment our Acer contact window is also overseas. Once they are back they will provide an update but one would realistically expect them to take approx. 1-2 weeks to flash and get the stock back to us, which in theory should be sometime next week.

I think the issue was that we had an ETA of when the stock was supposed to be flashed and with you from your previous update and it's gone past that.

Essentially it's taking them two weeks longer than expected to flash the monitors. Could have done it ourselves weeks ago.

Still doesnt explain why your colleagues could not have let people know. Your competitors managed to send out emails advising of delays on time so their Acer contacts were available. Going on holiday is no excuse in business. If I did that where I work then questions would be asked why there was no adequate cover.

If you also refer back to this thread the information given was that landed stock for last Friday would have Firmware V2 on for pre-orders. This has not been the case. Slippages are to be expected but makes me wonder how late Acer left it to tell sellers. Also people who's money you have are quite within their rights to want to know up to date information on where there product is.

I know its probably a drop in the ocean for you but two people at work were going to order the X34 from you until they read this thread and now have ordered it from your competitor because they saw they kept their customers up to date. I actually stuck up for OCUK and said generally the customer service is pretty good but they were not best pleased with the comments in this thread.

Well said buddy 100% agree with you. When spending this much on a product I expect to be kept up to date on when I will receive my item, not left in the dark with no comment from the retailer and having to resort to searching the internet to find out for myself what's going on.
Guess we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed and hope we will get them next week...
