Power to weight ratio of your car?

How on earth can my shed NOT be in position 124.

Amazed

now come on - 'kit cars' arn't cars in the same sense of the word of everything else. It can't take you to do a big shop, cant keep you and your passenger warm and dry, can't let you relax and listen to the radio on the motoraway, can't leave it on the street you need a garage or a driveway.

It's a hybrid, a bike with stabilizers :p

If it gets kicked off the list then i will be moving up one place with my other car! Its a no lose situation for me :D

My trucks figure is fully freighted at its Max Gross weight (44t), just the Cab (Tractor) part weighs just shy of 7.5tons. - 58BHP/ton ish I think?

Thus, it'll still beat NathWraith's VW Polo 1.2 @50BHP....! :p - Fancy a race upto my speed limiter (55mph) mate?

In therory,I think the Scania would win??? ;) :D

Same can be said of many supercars too - should they not be allowed in the list either? :p

That's a nice looking Indy, Moorron. I take it you're Moorron from Locostbuilders? Hello. Did you get your TV sorted? :)

Some properly dubious figures in that list, I'm thinking of the Leon Cupra R and that Saab 900 mostly, presuming hugely optimistic guesstimate or super-optimistic dyno printouts involved in those?

They make mine seem positively slow either way.

E92 335i M Sport 191bhp/tonne
E39 530i SPort 150bhp/tonne

I don't know the exact figures, but aren't the new cupra's 270bhp~ and 1300kg~? Which gives around 207bhp/t, doesn't state whether its standard or not either.

Family car = probably about 60 bhp / tonne
Small hatch for commuting = about 60 bhp / tonne
My bike I have now sold :( = about 625 bhp / tonne

Hi mate, cheers. Its an old pick as i cant leave it alone so now have the newer nose cone and the bonnet with intergrated vent and a few other mods.

Yeh sort of got the TV replaced after i complained, 5 months in total.

20VT then, im not surprised by that figure at all :)

It weighs nearly 1400kg. It would need 300bhp for that power to weight ratio. I think thats far more likely to be an over-enthusiastic dyno or some fudging of 'yea well ive got this turbo and this filter so thats gotta be 300bhp mate' than it is to be an accurate figure..

How does one go from driving a 60bhp/t vehicle to a 625bhp/t vehicle, i just couldn't do it knowing i've got that much power sitting on my drive, i would have to use it all the time :p

"Should i take my clio today, or my maclaren f1 gtr...."

ko6 will see 300bhp with a few other little mods

I bet most 300bhp 1.8T's are nothing of the sort. There will be a few genuine ones and loads of people who think 'yea yea its 300 brake mate innit, look, I had it mapped'

A friend had a 1.8T Audi TT. 295bhp with Dyno print out. Cost him around £4-5K for the work though! Stock internals, stock turbo.

300bhp is entirely possible on stock internals. You said yourself, dyno lottery. No need to feel your bimmer is inferior.
