WOW!

How much may I ask?

And what made you come to the decision of owning an Atom? out of interest.

Not much under £30K. Atom residuals are strong!;)

Super reliable and cheap to run though.

Its the ultimate performance I can afford in a road (and track day) car without ending up with a un-reliable over tuned mess.

I could waffle for ages, but the speed and handling make most cars look rather silly.

This is an the 1.19's from the Top Gear test track times. Gives you an idea of the performance available. Some pretty exotic stuff is a similar speed (none of which I could afford to buy and run).

Diesels never perform well on bhp/tonne, look at the 330i above and it's got a significant advantage in terms of bhp/tonne yet the performance of the two cars is broadly similar.

My new 1.6 mx-5 engine is rated up to 144bhp.

spec is: 10:5:1 compression. 256/8.5 cams, 1.2mm thicker valve spring, balanced crank and rods, port polish and port match. full RB exhaust.

Car weighs about 980kg (roof stripped, no stereo, 4kg flywheel, boot stripped but roll bar makes up for that)

so around 150bhp/ton fingers crossed!

will post up RR data once finished in a few weeks.
