I genuinely think, on a car of such value and with such power, I'd not choose to have it remapped. There are potential issues regarding warranty and it is a relatively modest power gain (around 10%). I suspect it will be really hard to feel like you are utilising that extra oomph, what with so much effortless shove available anyway.I can have mine mapped to 682bhp they say, thats very tempting
This, and I have also spent the last 6 years working in what we like to call 'automotive business intelligence'. I've worked for several firms that research and analyse vehicle prices, specifications, options/accessories and order logic, used vehicle valuations, total cost of ownership, servicing schedules, parts and prices, vehicle value forecasting, crash repair estimations, new vehicle registrations and sales analysis, used vehicle registrations and sales analysis, new, used and aftersales lead management etc etc. A real mix of everything relating to the analysis of information used to assist in the buying, selling, developing, marketing, maintaining and repairing of new and used vehicles.Rentboy.
Just to make you all feel good about yourselves, Toyota Celica Gen 7 127.27bhp/tonne (140/1.1)
snip
143bhp/ton
Peugeot 306 Rallye.
Weight varys depending on where you take your figure from.
I found that in a straight line the GTi6 would beat a 172/182. Mine felt like it was stupid fast for what it was, my friend in his 172 said I was pulling away quite easily..
