Power to weight ratio of your car?

PMKeates, what have you done to wind it up to 350hp. I don't know of any companies offering guarantees of that sort of power. Have you had it dyno'd? :)

Oh and Skeeter re the Clio, if you think 172 / 182 denotes just a number, the serious internet LOLZ to you. It doesn't. It's the PS/DIN output of the engine, as PMK has described. "Just a number". LOL

I went with Evolve. They quote for their maps:

BMW E60 535d 286 bhp / 580Nm > 350 bhp / 700Nm
BMW E60 535d 272 bhp / 560Nm > 340 bhp / 680Nm

When there they offered 380!

Hmm

My Spitfire is meant to have around 68-71 horsepower and weighs 814kg.

A quick calculation, on the bottom end of the bhp spectrum (not taking into account horsepower loss over time) is as follows:

68/814 x 1000 = 83.5bhp/tonne

Indicating I have 83.5bhp for every 1000kg.

Kind regards

The official PS figure for the 172 is 169PS, or 167bhp. Wherever this number comes from (according to PMKeates, another, higher, measure) it is not PS or BHP. Its unsurprising that Renault chose to use the highest measure they could, but the 172/182 is not a bhp figure, which is all I was trying to say oh so many pages ago.
