i got into the dewalt ecosystem due to a cracking deal on a combo drill pack with 2 x 4mah batteries. picked up the ryobi One+ strimmer and an adapter from amazon that lets the dewalt batteries fit the ryobi tools. will pick up bare tools as and when i need them but for tools that will get limited use i'm quite happy buying the usually cheaper ryobi one+ gearI'm in the market for a garden trimmer, and it's an opportune time to get into a decent quality cordless ecosystem as I'm in the process of buying a house which needs a lot of work. I've got a few corded power tools but most of the time these are a faff. I've been looking at both Dewalt and Makita so far, but aware the battery ecosystem is really what you buy into and then reuse across tools ideally.
Dewalt dcm561p1
Makita DUR192LZ
Any other recommendations or advice? I'm not used to a lock in type approach, but kind of looking forward to the world it opens up

I would stick with the 125mm, I have a cordless 115mm and there have been many times recently where that extra 1cm (just ordered a Ryobi R18AG7-0 125mm cordless grinder and now wondering if i made a mistake with the blade size as searching online there are loads of 115mm blades and a few 125mm ones, this is just for general diy, any opinions please ?
thanks it was the amount of 125 v 115 discs in the likes of screwfix/toolstation that had me worried, i know you can use the smaller in the larger machines but that threw a doubt in my mindI would stick with the 125mm, I have a cordless 115mm and there have been many times recently where that extra 1cm () would have been handy, I have had to switch to the 9" which is a beast to wield
You can still get 125mm discs at most of the diy stores and plenty online.
I've got to drill some bathroom tiles to put up a new shower curtain rail. The tiles might be ceramic or might be porcelin (they're large and matte finish).
Are there any tile drill bits that are well-liked? The average review for bits from cheap to Bosch is ~3 out of 5.
Grinder is the one tool my wife won't let me have. She has dealt with far too many grinder injuries...Do You have a grinder? I gave up on drill bits a long time go and use M14 fitment dry holecutters from Protilertools https://www.protilertools.co.uk/product/pro-tiler-dry-cut-m14-diamond-hole-cutter---6mm/44682

Anyone seen any offers for 12v (or less) lighter drill driver, i've got an 18v Dewalt one and a separate impact driver, but for smaller easier jobs or ones in awkward spaces could do with something a bit smaller and lighter.
Anyone know what the welding tool is this guy uses in this video?
It’s blue and appears briefly about 20seconds in.
(I’m not going to attempt to make a speaker stand)
