I live in the Channel islands..
We pay 20% tax striaght out are wages on what we earn over a set limit per year...

Seriously .... X1800 crossfire looks to be in most cases not much more than 7% behind X1900 crossfire, in actual games at least (I think fear is an exception @ 18% ish under) cpu limitation being the main wall, and much cheaper, especially if you already have one X18, and is at least equal too often faster than a single X19XTX.
If you already have an X18XT .. and crossfire board, then its not a bad move.
Add to that there is a whole host of extra AA levels too ...

Obviously if you don't already have one then its a no brainer :)

Don't worry there will be a offer of the week next week. btw it would be great if everything to build a system is on "offer of the week" :-) Since you'll save a packet. O.F.T.W. really great for locals that just pop in for one thing...but getting one thing at time for non-locals @ £8 every time for shipping and it eats into the total saving.

Yeah suppose it aint bad if you already have an x1800, and a Crossfire mobo, but you could sell the x1800 you already have, and buy the x1900, then further down the track Crossfire that instead. :D
 
i placed my order around 18:45 last night, and look what i have here, a X1800XT before 9pm the next day, now thats service.

p.s not used ATI for a long time (9800 days) whats the best drivers for this card?

Just tried bf2 and now its 91-101fps all the time, was getting 60-80fps with dual 7800GTX, ocuk sure u didnt send me a X1900XTX bcoz this card is elite.


anyone got one of these cards and cant find any temps on it? also ati dirver panel sucks

Anyway, temps should be about 50-55 idle and load about 70-75 (well they were when I had one). The CCC has always sucked - we demand the control panel back!!!

it has hardly any options compared to what i use to use, like that overdrive thingy. Where is the temp reading in this ccc? if any at all.

just ran all 4 3dmark's so ill update sig now

Make sure you set the CCC to advanced otherwise it really is dire

On standard you can't do anything and it takes you half an hour to find anything!
 
well first the dell2405 sucks for gaming, iv had it twice and sold it twice. I play cod with 333fps but with this card it stays there a lot more then the GTX's did. So i still stand by that.

And to read the temps without that ghey ccc thingy use SysTool
