Pre-season Football 2011/2012 Season

Yay, now we've got Gibbs on making mistakes at left back, being woefully out of position, Sagna miles out of position on the right, and Djourou making ridiculous tackles in the middle.

I honestly don't know how we conceded so few goals in open play last year as we made SO many mistakes in almost every game.

Bale out on the left whips a beautiful cross into the far corner where Defoe rises to volley it in.

Defence is getting no protection from the midfield and the midfield are giving no support to Ngog who's been embarrassing. We can't go in to the new season with him as our only backup :(

Have we, with only a couple games left in preseason played even a single half with our suspected first team all playing together, is this not getting ridiculous. Theo, RVP Wilshire seem certain to start, Nasri if he stays, Sagna, Verm... probably Djourou or Kos, Gibbs, Song and Arshavin or maybe Gervinho on the left, assuming Cesc goes. Then, shouldn't we be giving them some time together on the pitch?

Think very few of our players have played more than 45mins a go yet.

Maybe that was marketing, an effort to big up the product you are trying to sell. Would be much harder to sell the product if you took the opposite stance.. "hey, want to buy this guy? He ranges from crap to average...hello? Hello??"

Somehow Redknapp seems to get alright fee's with that particular marketing method :p

On the Arsenal game, Rosicky actually did something that made me notice him, so thats probably his one moment of almost scoring for the season, and DJourou seems to be doing his best to get sent off at the moment.

Sagna, seriously, I don't think he's been in line with our back four, for like 3 years now, he's getting more and more like Johnson.
 
Just been watching Buckley Town v Droylsden, was 0-1 when I left but to be honest Droylsden were pretty poor consider they are Blue Square North.
 
After 3 games the idea of Nasri as our Cesc replacement on 115k a week, more than RVP or Cesc get/got terrifies me, where as before these three games it merely scared me.

He's been rubbish, he's just useless in central mid, he can't command a game, he can't control a game, Wilshire in preseason has looked 10 times the player Nasri has.

Have we pretty much done the same line up in first/second half in all 3 games, rvp/Arshavin/Nasri, Song/Wilshire/Ramsey/Chamakh RVP and Arshavin have looked good, Song/Nasri have looked woeful so far, Chamakh, meh. He's good at laying the ball off but seemingly has no intent to turn and run at the defence anymore.
