Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Adam tell you that you'd lose to City and that they'd go onto cruise the League, which you objected to, saying they wouldn't beat you and you had nothing to fear.

And not last season but your Lukaku/Chelsea prediction was worse than anything from Adam.

The whole forum might have said it but you certainly didn't. You literally argued against it.

And my point is you regularly come out with equally brash statements as Adam which turn out wrong, yet you constantly try to ridicule Adam for doing the same.

Chelsea spending £100m on Lukaku was a great signing and Chelsea were going to win the League - that's a worse shout than saying Ole would win the League.

I did say Ole but never ten hag someone just edited what I said for bants. If Arteta has a bad start this season he will be gone imo. 700 million spent he should be winning a league title. He is what into his 4th or 5th season now?

Also if City get thrown out then Ole would have a league to his name .

Even if arsenal have a bad start they will not get rid of arteta they back him and edu as a team and the whole reason the likes of jesus, rice etc joined us over rivals is down to arteta they will not sack him

Rice joined Arsenal because no one would spend over 100 million for him. Jesus was a fantastic sell for City too. Who would spend 50 million for a 1 in 3 striker who isn't actually a striker.

Plus Rashford cost 0 pounds so his wages are irrelevant and he was playing the majority of his game time down the left and not the middle.

Isn't even comparable. Jesus cost Arsenal 45 million is older and has a worse goal return than Rashford despite playing the vast majority of his career at City.

Rashford would need to play for 6 seasons at 320k a week just to match Jesus transfer fee and wages for 4 seasons playing.

Personally I am entirely on the wind up. As a United fan I am used to us looking like peak Barca during pre-season only to play Burnley and look like we are Sunday league as soon as the season starts.

I can't remember if it was under LvG where we were sublime. As soon as it came to a competitive match all the fancy one touch passing completely fell apart and all the players were gash.

I'm very much looking forward to seeing Onana when he gets some game time though. Going to be jokes as the kids used to say.

Villa 3-3 Newcastle.

Interesting we tried back 3 and a double pivot all over the place but then got into it. lascelles looking good and fast. Maybe explains why we are after some fullbacks.

We are looking stacked in the middle now after seeming very light towards the end of last season.

Anderson and Miley have both come on leaps and bounds. Hard to believe Miley is still 17. Good bit over 6ft, strong and has great technique. Should have had two pens to win the game.

After the first half Howe sent a few players out to do sprints hah.

Very much preseason but the games have been competitive and great to watch so far.

Mahrez and Gundogan are in their 30's. Jesus is coming into his prime. Not even the same.

Our 2nd pre-season game is kicking off in a few mins. Szoboszlai has a minor knock but isn't being risked, Trent is starting as a 6 again (but again I think it's a case of needs must) and Gakpo as an 8. There's no need to play Gakpo as an 8 so it's starting to look more and more that Klopp sees him as an option there.
