This is a very similar spec to yours -
Clicky. He was a complete noob - and did an admirable job with guidance.
I have other threads which are more specific to different request but the above is well rounded to your build - depends on what puzzles you/hiccups you have. Watch the YouTube build examples in this thead -
Clicky - as the more examples you watch the more areas they may cover.
I have one other thread up my sleeve, with identical components, which covers everything (all possible troubleshooting methods) - but it's a bit a of a horror thread - so we'll give it a wide berth for now unless needed (but has a satisfactory ending - and a very happy user)
just need to make a Win10 boot usb when I go to my folks tomorrow as I have no other computer here.
Again, I advise you to watch some installing Windows 10 tutorials or read some simple guides to familiarise yourself with the process.
This will help:
Even with all of the above i can't stress enough the following - RTFM (you can Google) - it's amazing how many members ignore this and it makes a massive difference when asking questions, as they will be more informed and we will be able to aide you more easily.
Best of luck - post back i you have any other questions or need reassurance on getting started etc -
Additional for future ref:
Basics:
- wooden table/cardboard to build on,
- touch an exposed bit of copper on a radiator to ground yourself every now and then
- Attach CPU/cooler before installing motherboard into case - you can hold onto cooler as a guide, makes life a lot easier.
- And a few bottles of beer chilled.
Below is to refer to later and will make sense once you've read through linked threads and watched vids:
Once familiar with the above and computer is built/BIOS stable etc you can refer to the following:
When installing OS, only have the one drive connected (as windows likes to spread the love across drives otherwise) and plug in your Win 10 USB into the back USB 2 port. Make sure that the USB (UEFI USB) is the first first bootable device. Wait and follow onscreen instructions - when it restarts unplug USB. Suggest you disable the internet on install so no drivers try to get installed and don't allow Windows to spy on you - say sod off to all tracking when Windows gets to that part.
I strongly advise you download the motherboard Chipset/Audio/Lan drivers etc directly from MSI and your GPU drivers directly from AMD (install the chipset drivers first, restart -and then the rest but when prompted always choose restart option).
