You tried changing it in bios or using Motherboard preset?CAn't seem to get my 3800X to use more than 70W of power even when using Cinebench 20. Any ideas?
yea I would have thought so as well...i have a 360 rad cooling this so thought i would easily get the 4.4 boost but nothing I try is helping, reseated the block today with fresh paste and made sure it was spread all over the cpu as I have read it needs to be a good covering across the whole of the ihs.Should be doing more than if cooling is ok, mine does 4175-4300 allcore with pbo, 4000-4150 without (noctua d15s).
Put the history graph on to see if it was boosting to 4.4 or use hwinfo.
Had a look in the BIOS and it's on OC mode if that is the correct setting. CPU will boost fine to 4.5Ghz+ but NEVER draws more than 67WYou tried changing it in bios or using Motherboard preset?

Well no problem at all. This is not directed at you, just letting people know who are hung up on the numbers. Thanks for the detailed info. You really have a nice chip.
Defo not boosting properly-before we even start talking about pbo, what other same bios boards users recon?ok...here is hwinfo
Boosting above 4.5 GHz (around 5.1GHz 9900k for comparison) , complaining it only consumes 69 W (if those readings are true, which I doubt)

Did you actually go into BIOS and set manual limits past 69W,just asking.
