Well that's just typical. I'd been wanting the Dell for ages but the 6+ week waiting kept putting me off so I got the Acer instead the other day :(

Oh well, on the plus side going from 1080p 60hz 24" monitor to a 34" UW is AMAZING! :D:D

No update from ****** all weekend so rang them at lunchtime, they've spoken with the driver and he claims to have delivered it to 41 (parents are 14). Yodel are going to collect the monitor and redeliver today.

Still haven't got my monitor, ****** just keep blaming Yodel. If it isn't here by tomorrow lunchtime going to ask for a refund and buy the Alienware.

Genuinely, I feel for you. Chasing up deliveries is not fun - especially at this value.

The bizarre thing is the size of the boxes for these UW monitors - if your neighbour has taken it in they've probably had to turf Gran out on the street to make room for it! They'd be falling over it and themselves to get it to you ASAP I'd have thought? Get this flamin' huge box out of my house!
 
Exactly what I thought, read in the Alienware thread the box comes on a pallet :eek:
Its been MIA a week now. Monitor wants to be perfect and blow my socks off when it does arrive :D

An update, still haven't received my monitor so rang E***** again to be told Yodel don't know where the monitor is because driver has been suspended :eek:
Asked for a refund they said OK, but that they couldn't process it until Yodel have confirmed what's happened to the monitor :mad::confused::(
 
Picked up a couple of these to replace my x34s I picked up a couple of years back. Are they much of an upgrade or rather just a subtle one?

My X34Ps arrived to replace my first gen X34 and more recent X34A.

Contrast is noticeably better, the 120hz is lovely the colours also seem to be a lot nicer out the box. Plus the extra bit of curve looks great.

All in all it cost me around £200 for my upgrade, well worth it I think :)
