Premier League Fixtures - 16/17th August (Spoilers)

Glad we got the win today. Overall it was a bit lacklustre, we started well but then settled down into how we finished off last season. Towards the end there was virtually no movement at all, no one making runs just passing the ball back and forward between a couple of players. We have so much pace in the team but never seem to utilise it, if we could add a touch of urgency to our play we'd improve 100%. It was a little worrying how much their big striker caused problems, each time he made runs we panicked.

Nasri looked very good, hard to knock of the ball and made intelligent runs and passes all game.

Adebayor was shocking, he can't shoot or dribble or run at pace with the ball. How on earth he thinks he's worth over 100k a month i don't know. On top of all that he is constantly offside. A couple of times Clichy had to pass backwards because he'd wondered offside again, he then has the cheek to wave his arms about as if Clichy should have passed to him. Absolutely pathetic performance from him today.

Bendtner was pretty anonymous to be honest, why on earth he started ahead of RvP I'll never know. I'd have Vela as 3rd choice striker instead.

Eboue was pretty good apart from his shooting, he seemed to have Ade's boots on.

What was with bringing Toure on for Walcott too, why not give Wilshere a chance instead of another player who isn't cut out for attacking.
 
Chuffed for Hull too... em mate is a big Hull fan and i think i will adopt them as a 2nd team this year... lol

I hope they stay up, good win for them

Proper love the fact the Premier league is back

We did today what Man U and Chelsea have done consistently over the last few years, played poor and won. Too many times over the past few years we would have only got a draw or lost a game like today.

I feel a bit sorry for Sunderland, they played quite well today, for the first half hour at least. If they keep playing like that they should consolidate in mid table quite easily.

That's Spurs fans for you.

He honestly played well. Boro done well to block any attack and with us playing 5 in midfield, it was heavily congested but Bentley played very well when on the ball.
