Premier League Fixtures - 22/23/24th August (Spoilers)

first 3 pointer for the Champions!!!

(With a lot of our first team injured)

two points better off than last season (with a game in hand - and we have a 3 point banker for our next game :D)

Fletcher still complaining! That's why you got booked in the first place idiot.

Plus it was a clear foul.

According to 5 Live it wasnt correct in the first place (the free kick against Fletcher) - not saying 5Live are always correct though

Have to say that was a pretty boring match. Pompey looked like making a game of it midway through the first half but the goal killed the game.

Only positives are that i've doubled my weekly points on the prediction league and 2 clean sheets for my ff team.

Only been watching for a few minutes but does anyone else think Crouch is total crap. I dunno how he commands ~£10m transfer fees or plays for England.

He is rubbish, he always has been rubbish, he always will be rubbish.

You play him in your side you can only play one way and thats lump it in and around him, he cant chase through balls, he cant outrun even the lardiest of defenders, he cant head, he constantly gives away stupid fouls because he cant jump without holding a player down and he isnt clever when he is on the ball either.

What he does do well is if the ball falls at his feet and he happens to be in the box, he does quite well there, but thats it.

Not exciting, but convincing, we'd have deserved Rooneys second, 1-0 was bit flattering to Pompey.

Their fans are whiney gits too, loads of shouts of handball, 1-0 to the referee and your not fit to referee

Firstly, I would like to offer my sincere apologies to all Liverpool fans. I have berated Rafa Benitez for being incompetent and not having a clue in the transfer market. How on earth he got anything more than a packet of smarties for Peter Crouch is a wonder for us all to behold. He was absolutely awful. Moan, whine, Whinge, fall on the floor, awful in the air and the touch of a Blackpool Donkey. If he gets anything more than 1/10 in tomorrows press then it's a travesty

Secondly can someone ring The Bridge up and ask them to put the Champagne on ice. Listening to some quaters of the press, Chelsea should have been awarded the Premiership 2008/2009 after two games and the rest of us should pack up and go home because they are simply too good so what's the point.

Sarcasm aside, good game and good tempo. Anderson, Tevez & Rooney were outstanding. Great movement all around. Portsmouth were simply two or three passes behind us for most of the game. Since they won that FA Cup Semi final last year they have been awful

It wasn't a bad game, we knocked the ball around well.

Anderson and Tevez were fantastic, Rooney looked good as did Possebon when he came on.
Another poor performance from Wes though who lost his man too many times.

Yeah I agree.

'He can't head', exactly right, this is the worst thing about him, he's so tall and still can't win headers, hell, Owen scores more with his head.

After one game matey, they were atrocious yesterday and if they were playing a good side they'd have been humbled.

We do. Check the facts.
It's certainly not your 'Handball' army.

Show me these facts :p And our handball army? You mean Everton's :p

Anyway the noise from the celebrations from Riise's goal in the CC final vs Chelsea was the loudest recorded at any sporting event. Fact! ;)

Just shows you how much the Carling Cup is valued by Liverpool fans. Loudest recorded at any sporting event? Ever? In the world? Did this fact come from the Liverpool echo? :p
