Our record was broken I think by Fenerbahce fans if i'm not mistaken.

Portsmouth lack of guile in the midfield is terrible. They had a defensive midfielder on the right at times and a 18 left back at left wing in the first half. Defoe and crouch literally touch the ball about 5 times a match.
 
Well if crouch is that bad HOW COME HE IS ENGLANDS HIGHEST EVER GOAL SCORER in 12 months? Also, he bagged 17 for liverpool playing off the bench, which put rooney to shame, a man who STILL cannot say he is a striker, his record is pathetic compared to other teenage sensations.

true that his record of 2pl titles and a cl doesn't really stack up well.

He scored loads for England because we were playing Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago etc., I don't think he's scored against any decent nations.
 
Okay, let see Owen / Shearer / Linekar / Hunt / Greaves etc all got to play poor teams also. How come the gankly Crouch outscored them all? Perhaps its because he is actually a decent player despite the ackward way of moving and lack of aerial threat.
 
Oh behave yes i am a Liverpool fan but the dis-service done to Crouch by every fan is unreal. He will likely outscore Rooney at Pompey. He is far more dangerous than given credit for - name a perfect hat trick that RvN or Rooney or Henry or Shearer scored?

RvN did it over a period of years (and still is)

Rooney scored the most perfect hat trick ive ever seen on his MU and CL debut

Henry did it over a period of years

Shearer is a ****


Perfect hat tricks don't mean anything if you're **** 95% of the time
