Premier League Fixtures - 22/23/24th August (Spoilers)

Shocking performance from the pool as was the Sunderland game. However, winning without playing well is key to challenging for the title. I'm convinced we would have got beat playing like that last season.

Outplayed us? Not sure about that. We had far and away more of the play (albeit we ****ed it up all the time) and the only chances Boro were getting were balls knocked down the channels for their strikers to get hold of and they only got any joy out of that when Mido came on.
 
Wheres all these spurs fans that were saying spurs are top 5 material this year and could even challenge for 4th?

At this rate you'll be challenging for top 4 next year alright.....

Amazing what some wingers can do, eh? :p.
The best football, passing routines and thrust came from Middlesbrough. Liverpool just crudely knocked the ball around til something stuck which resulted in a goal from Middlesbroughs 2nd OG in 2 games and a great finish from Gerrard.

I would like to say in my defense that i was not dilusional enough to state we could finish 4th! I still think we could finish top 7 (which is what i said at the start of the season) but that's at best really considering the amount of transfers, changes to formations and tactics and the players needing to gel with one another.

I don't know i just don't rate Ramos at all, yes we might have had a bad start with Jol last season but what has Ramos actually done bar win the Carling Cup? I don't expect him to stay very long, if he carrys on playing players out of their normal roles like Bentley on the left and Gio on the right and Modric in a DMs role etc.

Ramos also needs to bring in one if not two strikers, a good defensive midfielder and at least 2 new defenders.

Agree but not with the Ramos comments.

To be fair it was only the one loud mouthed ****** that said that. Happened to be the same one that proclaimed King to be the best defender and Keane to be a nothing signing for Liverpool. Hasn't posted in a few days surprisingly :D
