PREY demo today...

Im stuck in the demo.
Its just a little after the kids scene, you come to a door with a "identify" panel to your right, and one of those weird blokes doing something on the screen to your left.
I cant figure out what to do from here, the botton does nothing and the wierd blokey just tried to whack me one!

Uuuuurrrggghhhh!!!....the multiplayer mode gave me motion sickness in about 5 mins.... :eek:

Its all that running and jumping upside down, back to front....felt really wierd... :)...its really hard for your eyes to focus on one plane....
 
Just completed it, very impressed

Was good fun and the gravity stuff was a great little feature, didnt grab me like the F.E.A.R demo but will still be buying it

Next to FEAR without a doubt the best demo I have palyed. My mate just came over and had a go, took him a while to adjust to the gravity :)

great demo wasnt expecting much but good game. :)

Love filling the sink up with water you turn tap off and water goes back down sweet. :D

When your in the room can change channels on tv and change music on Jukebox. :D

Nice guns and walking up walls well weird and the vortexes. :)

Ah but the difference is DNF has actually been in development all these years, this was cancelled then revived several years later.
 
Wow........just WOW! Really impressed by this demo. Right up there with FEAR and HL2. Ran silky smooth at maximum settings. Image tearing was REALLY bad though, had to put V-Sync on. Apart from that - EXCELLENT!
 
Rather nice from what I've played, the tearing was bloody awful, but all fixed with vsync ;) I guess that's the issue just with the Doom 3 engine than anything, but the game runs awesome, and looks amazing, the doom 3 engine really does show you where the Source engine is lacking.
 
Well, I just installed it and everything, I try adn run it, the screen flickers a few times, then I get an error saying my video car/ drivers do not let me play thi game (something like that) Is it because I am trying to run i ton vista or should I uninstall my vista beta ATI driver?! :S

Read over on Shacknews that ATI vista drivers dont support OpenGL. Which you need to play this,
 
Great game!!!

Amazing. Only downfall is that when I look down I wanna be able to see my feet, not feel like a floating head. Also, why dont I cast a shadow but everything else does? They should have learned from FEAR for those 2 things.

I heard that it was the doom3 engine, but using a DirectX renderer rather than OpenGL....

Can someone confirm?
