Dude you'll find it very easy. Yeah things go on but there will be lots of people like you trying to keep their heads down. Have a watch of the shawshank redemption before you go :) well that or Scum

Although it obviously depends on the case at hand, don't entirely give up hope about a none custodial sentence yet. I was facing 2 custodial sentences, one of which was entirely dropped and the other was reduced to a very small community work order due to the crown lying.

As for being inside, because of the above I have no idea. However, a number of people I know have spent small spells of time inside both youth offenders and big boy prison - None of them had any horror stories. Of course it wasn't nice, they all said that, but its not like they got beaten left, right and center or whatever else either.
 
i grew up in a bad area with a lot of criminal activity and most of the people i grew up with are in and out of prison all the time.

they didnt come out very nice people, much more agressive than when they first went to prison and they didnt trust anyone, so i know its not a very nice play to be.

one guy who got 4 years spent as much time as he could in the gym and he came out with his shoulders twice as wide, i expect you will see a lot of big blokes in there so i hope you can handle yourself or atleast befriend really rough people.

whatever you do dont get involved in any hardcore drugs! it will ruin your life, a lot of the people i grew up with came out as smack heads and i had only known them to smoke weed before they went inside.

btw what prison will you likely end up in? and are you old enough for it to be a real mans prison? if its just juvenile then you dont really have much to worry about, do a course and enjoy your tv+games console in your room ;)
