Pro Cycling Discussion 2016

Well, subtracted, but yeah. What I don't get is how you'd decide who got the Jersey on the third day if, for example, someone came first on the first day and second on the second day and someone else did the opposite.

In the GC I think they use the actual stage time (down to tenths/hundredths of a second) from the riders concerned rather than rounding them down and giving them the same time. whoever has the fastest time gets the jersey.

Think that makes sense

Omloop this weekend. First of the proper races IMO.

Girl from our club racing the woman's race, she's got a ride with a Dutch team for the season trying to make it pro.

Timmy Guy who thrashed us all a few weeks back in a club handicap won the final stage of tour of the Philippines this weekend. He was flying when I saw him, best I've seen him ride. His team are on "Gusto" bikes this year, a Malaysian brand, seem pretty big over there, must be trying to go internationally.

Omloop FTW! There is no way it can possibly be as good as last year though, that was incredible. Stannard slapping half of the Ettix team about for the fun of it :D :D

Been counting down the days to the classics for months, so excited!!

Stuyven is a beast.
As Belgian as Belgian can be. Has a go at Omloop, takes corner at approx 27mph quicker than he should have and falls yet still finishes 9th.... Then the next day just solo's KBK.

<3

Great couple of races over the weekend! Omloop not as interesting as last year, but as least KBK had a fantastic finish. Well deserved wins in both races for different reasons. I'm predicting a wet Paris Roubaix already (hoping :D )

Amazing ride from Stuyven. Weekend only slightly spoiled by having money on Kristoff (7/4) for KBK and Debusschere for OHN (50/1), both of whom won the bunch sprint but behind a breakaway.

Strade Bianche on saturday. Always great to watch - particularly if it's wet!

First big euro stage race starts on sunday, Paris Nice.
Starts with a short TT. Bit of Mont Ventoux for Friday's stage.

Strade Bianche this Saturday doesn't look like live coverage but highlights on Eurosport_UK from 4.45.

Paris Nice starts this Sunday and Tirreno-Adriatico the following Wednesday! Both of which have some strong riders.

Dumoulin to lead giant alpecin at paris nice, g Thomas for sky.

Nibali, sagan and cav all racing at Tirreno-Adriatico.

Pro cycling Discussion. Whether it be about hair or racing, it was about a pro rider. Please explain the rules of the thread before you get all biscuity bummed. k thx :p

Cant wait for Strade Bianche! Field is stacked.
cyclinghub.tv will have the whole race :)

Just put together my Paris Nice fantasy team. Went Thomas, Contador, Bardet, Dumoulin, Yates, Costa, Tom-Jelte ****ter and Tim Wellens. Left out Porte after his performance at Oman, don't think he's quite on form yet and since he's got his sights set higher this year he might keep something back anyway. Plus it's always nice to have a few wildcards ;)

Dimension Data have a bit of an odd line up. They have a very strong team, they're definitely capable of a top 10, but the issue is that they're all strong, there's no one obvious protected rider. Seems like they just ride it and see what happens, which might not be in their best interests.

My fantasy team for the prologue is Dumoulin, Dennis, Contador, Thomas as my main guys. They are all TT beasts, no way I am selecting Porte for anything. Sub in Bardet & Kruijswijk on the med/high mountain days and change around my lower cost riders for the sacrificial likely to get away break dudes :D

This is a funny wee read. Legwarmer code! - http://velonews.competitor.com/2016/03/news/road/champions-legwarmer-code_397158

Is this on road.cc?
Do we have an OcUK league?

Yeah man, road.cc
I am on the /r/peoloton league on Reddit. I will setup a OcUK league just now though, I was thinking about it last night and I'd rather do that right now than this crappy work I am dumped with. Hang fire for deets everyone! :D
