Pro Cycling Discussion Thread 2015

I'm flying to Madrid for work this afternoon which means I'm sat I the lounge at T5 drinking free wine and watching MSR on Eurosport. I need to organise more 9am meetings in other countries as this is the only way I get to watch racing.

This is nail biting but I can't see G making it.

Who spotted the BMC guy bail and smack the wall just almost off camera on the Poggio descent? The commentators on Eurosport didn't see it but I sure as hell did! That was a bad one, and you seen the aftermath from it. Nasty.

What a finish, that was amazing to watch.

You know it's been a good bike race when everyone looks like they've been down the mines :D

Great finish. Definitely think Mathews could have had that if he was a little more aggressive. Coming under the 1km banner he was hanging back, trying not to take too much of the wind but all that meant when it came to the sprint was that he was stuck behind and had to swerve across the road for space.

Yep, let out a massive ooooh at that point. Fantastic racing from a long way out. Weather looked horrendous for about 3/4 but fantastic dry finish! Fair play degenkolb for that sprint. Here's hoping the rest of the one days carry on delivering.

I'm going for Geraint Thomas for E3

Then I'll go for Stybar for Gent-Wevelgem

Enjoyed those few kms in Catalunya this afternoon , nice to see Porte believing in himself again.

Thomas wins E3 with attack at 4km to go. Drops Sagan and then Stybar to take big win. Awesome stuff!!!

Cracking pair of stages today, fantastic finish from G, blew stybar and sagan away! And even tho I despise valverde great win for him! Good day for sky overall as porte took overall lead

And just seen swift took a win and overall lead in Italy!

Awesome attack for a great win. My favourite part was the commentators deciding Sagan was done within 3.2 nanosenconds of it kicking off haha.

Dare I say Sagan is never going to be a big winner?!

He can always podium, but doesn't have the last 1% that so many other riders seem to as his talents are spread a little more than others, hence he's such a good winner of the green jersey.

Plus now he has the reputation and success as well as a big $ contract he struggles for allies.....

Think I'll agree on this. Really consistent but doesn't have that speciality to enable him to win even when everything falls just right. That and he seems unable to command a train will limit for sure.
