I must say i find it amusing that people here are calling FIFA a sim. Just because a FIFA-orientated blog/website spouts endless nonsense about how many thousands of decisions each player/AI makes per frame of animation or how much has gone in to the coding behind the shooting in the game doesn't make it good. Hilarious, and apparantly it's quite the opposite; slow, meandering players. Poor ball physics (watching the ball juddering over from a cross isn't my idea of decent physics). I will say though that warmup bit with Ronaldinho had me going for a minute. To think this was a real contender to PES's throne was a silly mistake.
I genuinely can't believe people think FIFA plays a better game of footy than PES, i really can't.
The only advantages FIFA seems to have are:
better skin textures.
slower pace.
player models up close on those all-important pre-match animations are better.
All very important i'm sure you'll agree. At least that slower pace means it'll take you longer to get up the pitch.
Keep your FIFA, i know what i'll be playing in a few weeks.
And just to add; i experienced no slowdown, no tearing or anything else like that when playing the PES demo. Running 720 if that's any use.
