PRO EVO 2008 demo market place

Hardly noticed any slow done but I have Motion Enhancer on my D3000 turned on.

The replays are jittery just hope the full game has better textures, because the pitch looks awful.

Looks like C Ronaldo is the new "Adriano" he does his nonce step overs and is impossible to tackle.

Also quick free kicks are quick, it doesnt cut to another screen, a player will just run up put his hand on the ball and kick it even with the fouled player on the ground, which I think is a great touch. Will give people the chance to score near the box if you take someone down.

This is not good.

First the good stuff. Close control works 50 times better than the last game. Its now much easier to get round players without just using pace. You can take players on 1v1 much easier even without the close control trigger.

The good players first touch is much better allowing you to take players on.

The shooting and shooting animations are much much better. Decent sounds when tackling. As a game of football I do think it feels better than the last one so far. The players first touch has been improved and was the thing I instantly noticed.

As for the bad, the pitch is woeful. I'm getting lines down my screen, not tearing but a pixelated line as the ball moves. Hard to explain, i'm sure others will see it.

The players look no better than last year despite all the talk of what they were working on.

I'm getting slowdown and pausing as though I was playing a lagging online player. It wasnt too bad in the last one apart from goal kicks. I'm getting that kind of thing at random times all over the pitch.

This demo has convinced me I will NOT be ordering the game for release day. I will wait and see if the full version suffers this issues because they are bad.

Early impressions look like it's fifa for me.

As mentioned on AVF though it appears this is the Leipzig demo, which apparently has been improved upon since. Seems strange they would release an older version though, unless the demo had already been created and they wanted to get it out today before FIFA 08 release next week.

Fingers crossed that these niggling issues are resolved for release. I can't wait for lunch to come so I can try it :)

I will probably get it on release day regardless.
 
Gameplay=Odd imo, very odd. If your a PES fan you will probably like it though, this is not a vastly different approach to the games that came before.

*edit* Had a suspect pen moment and thought goodie lets see this weird keeper camera angle, turns out Emre dived in the box and he was booked for it. :p

Its poor, I really didnt wanna say it :(

Had a few games and the scoring is very different to the last one. Ive not yet been able to score using the normal technique I used in the last one. The keepers are saving just about everything I throw at them despite lnocking it down to level 2.

It's strange, scoring seems much harder but rounding the AI is much easier. I'm getting far more chances than normal but not scoring. So i get the feeling it's just a matter of finding that system of scoring that works. Which isnt good because then its just scripted goals again.

I've had 20 shots coming in from the an angle 1v1 on the keeper and got nothing.

I will keep plugging away:)
 
Fantastic demo, no idea were people are seeing slowdown in game from or graphics issues, maybe change your 360, perfectly smooth for me, not a drop of frames in the game, only at the cut scenes does it appear to drop frames, which is no real concern. The game flows so much better now, players just seem to react quicker, not too different from PES6, just super refined, gameplay feels totally natural unlike Fifa where it feels forced on you.

As usual though a new Pro Evo, everyone tries to score their cheese goals, finds out it dont work no more then moans about it, personally I just play the game like football and it all works out, rather then trying to find the cheese goals.

Roll on release date, FIFA demo just got pwned :D
