PRO EVO 2008 demo market place

The diving is quality, very hard to fool the ref :D

Edit, shooting is much better, easier to control the power love it, also strange thing to like but the nets are nice and loose not made of concrete like in Fifa :D love seeing the net bulge as the ball hits it :D

This is a lot lot easier than previous years versions even on the higher difficulties scoring is not a problem. Keepers still have comedy moments just had 1 flap at a shot only for it to hit him in the head and go in the net.

The demo shows controller 2 but wont allow 2 player am I doing something wrong there?
 
ok, just played about 10 matches.

It reminds me very much of pro ev 6 for the pc (not the rubbish xbox 360 version). This means its brilliant!

The good players are very good, ronaldo and ronaldhino are superb, their close control is amazing.

The graphics are crisp, but i too suffer line across the screen - its like a 'perfect tear'.

All you need to know is the gameplay is fantastic.
 
I'll be downloading this when I get home this evening although I've been really enjoying Fifa for the last few days.

Can anyone who's played it comment on the AI please. Has there been any improvements because this is the biggest problem with Pro Evo for me. Is it still your player and 10 other by-standers playing against 11 CPU controlled players or is there some decent teamwork at last???

Define cheese goals?

I'm not getting framerate drops I'm getting pauses. One point the goal keeper dived to make a waist high save and paused in the air with the ball.

It happens on both my xbox's.

I loved the last pro evo, but fifa is leagues ahead of this, demo v demo.
 
When I had the team strat set to semi auto they moved much better than if I just left it off (obviously) with it on manual there have been a few moments where my players(5 or 6 of them ) were stood together in a large clump looking aimlessly around.

dannyjo22 thats exactly what I'm getting and others are on different forums also. Its not slowing framerates its a complete lock for a second before it kicks back into action again.
 
I think its much easier to score, which is not entirely a bad thing. Full power from players who can actually hit a ball doesn't result it the ball going out the stadium, rather than stay low and stay hit!

I quite impressed and agree with what someone else has already mentioned. ITs PE6 refined with quicker response... I like..

I also have absolutely no issue with pausing game play graphics or tearing!! it works perfectly for me!!

Like you said, your trying to score the same goal over and over, cheese goals :)

No pauses here either, smooth as silk, miles better than Fifa, but each to their own, delete the demo and move on :D

I agree, Fifa demo knocks spots off the pro evo demo, ill buy both, but fifa now seems like the beatiful game, and pro evo arcadey fun.
 
This is very poor. :(

I can't say I'm surprised though, the shock at a substandard Pro Evo has worn off after 5 and 6.

I'll definately be sticking with 3 and 4 then, the trade off of outdated players/inferior grahpics against far superior gameplay is more than worth it. I would even go as far as saying this might be the first version of Pro Evo I don't bother buying.

I'm not trying to score the same way over and over. Its football you often break free of the defense or last man to go 1v1 with the keeper from an angle.

I said I'd had 20 shots in situations like that with no joy.
 
Typical PES really. Horrible menus, decent gfx, better player likeness than Fifa and nice cutscenes to incidents on the pitch.

A little too fast / arcadey which means it might be a PC / PS2 buy for me and wait a user patch / someone to tweak the stats like they always do.

I've haven't noticed any pauses or tearing, but there's some odd ball physics / player movement going on at times. Also suffers from the usual cpu-player-speed-boost that PES has always had in certain situations. I've noticed this on my own players at times when the control switches to the cpu - they are suddenly able to run faster than normal to get back into position.

AI seems pretty similar to PES06 on the PC which isn't really a good thing. Had a few defenders running away from the ball with an opposition player 5ft away from them, goal bound. Fifa also suffers from this, so neither is perfect in that respect.

I personally prefer Fifa08 to this, which is the first time since ISS on the PS1.

Exactly, I know you played as much of the last evo as I did. I really dont see how its even better than the last one, let alone fifa.

I dont mean to rag on the game I'm just so dissapointed, I spent hundreds of hours on 6 and had such high hopes for this.:(

arg this makes me annoyed! They will change everything else, but they never get the stats of the players right. Why dont they just look at Football Manager and use those stats - they are as accurate as it gets.
