Thats not a problem for me, I don't mind people doing it. Its a perfectly valid tactic. For starters Brazil aint that fast, defend deeper stand off the player and they can't do it.

Cutting a player down is valid too. Its a perfectly acceptable strategy in the right circumstances. The other day it was 0-0 wedgie was through on goal. I was running behind him. As I was I said the only way I could stop him was a slide. I didnt because it was 0-0 and he could miss. If it was the 80th minute and I was 2-1 up you bet your **** I'm taking you down. I'm getting sent off and if you want to punish me score the free kick.

In the experts guide they recommend it as a good strategy.

Play to the teams strengths. If thats chasing a through ball who am I to critise. Owen made a career out of it. Its a normal football tactic. Through balls are played it every game.

The joy is in changing your formation to stop them. It's not cheating. So if your losing by a goal to me expect to get roughed up :D Maybe you should have a game ban for players picking up 3 yellows or a red?
 
I never realised how much formation can effect a game.

Playing my friend first half i dominated and was up by 3, he changed his formation in the 40th minute, pulled 1 back before the break and went on to win 4-3. The change made it almost impossible for me to get through

Exactly if a player is pumping balls for adriano to chase, switch Carlos to Center back, who catches him with ease. Or drop the defence off a touch.

Although I havent tinkered with it and saved settings for a team yet, it's recommended by the better players that you have your normal starting line up, a defensive setting and attacking for your team. They can be changed seemlessly with a button push instead of pausing the game.
 
Right so if we can clarify...

You can be any team you want.

Thats to me is a better idea. The league should be represented by the names of those who are taking part, not by the team they are using .. IE

Wedgie20... pts...F..A...
dannyjo22...pts...F..A...
McDaniel.....pts...F..A...
etc
etc
 
Pesrankings does all the that for you. Basically when you've played your game, you log onto pesrankings, go to events then the league your in, you will see "my results" you then enter the scores here, if you make a mistake the other player can dispute the score etc. Its all quite simple.

Once this is done the leagues are updated with goals for and against.

Simple :)

Sounds good to me. Can we just have it so you play your games as and when you can? We could prob get a lot done in one night if everyone is on.

How many players have we got so far? How many we going for?
 
Right, head count! It scares me how many players there are (21) as I worry for peoples commitment after last time.

PLEASE opt out if you think your not going to be reliable ie to play games, communication etc.

Not hoping for a specific number, I'm suprised how many we've got, would have been nice to have 20 maybe. I will give it till tonight then create the leage for you all to join on pesrankings.

People have other commitments so the league will take some time, I just hope people don't lose interest and have decent comms with fellow players.

You can play your games whever, hell you could do them all in one night if you want! The best bet and I imagine what everyone will do is check the fixtures which will automatically be generated and contact them first, play your home and away game against them and move onto the next opposition.

I certainly can, will be a private league. I will post the password on here later on.

Any questions please ask now in regards to the league, aimed at everyone here.

Best ways to contact each other is email in trust, MSN or best Xbox live message, you will need to add your next opposition to your friends list to play them but they can be deleted once you've played the games. I don't have much friend space left!

However Depending on your team and formation you can kick brasil...Real with no changes beats most of these Brasil choosing lamers.

Im not saying thats you wedgie, its just after playing ranked PES matches, that is the stigma that has become attached to those that choose brasil through my experience with these people.

I know, the amount of flack i've got off these forums alone because of players like that is ridiculous. As I have said before that's certainly not my style of play, i've used Brazil for years, before Adriano, before Ronaldinho and at times when there have been better teams, which there are still some arguably.

What I will say is if anyone plays me and all they've got is to pump it to Adriano, they've got pretty much no chance. The defending in this version is easier than it has ever been, i'd consider it poor defending to allow one player to have such an influence, rather than good attacking.

Shouldn't be a problem, but I dare say there will be a lot of games played in the 10 days your not online so you'll have a busy schedule when back on live, you sure you can manage it / be arsed with it? You don't get achievments for playing ya know :p
