Pro Evo pause cheat.

Not 100% sure, but unless you're plannaing on turning into one of the cheating scum you don't really need to know.

Not got the game, was just wondering how the hell you can purposely freeze a game.

The person scored first and proceeded to show me the replay for about a minute. I scored then did the same, ****** him right off. He then just hacked me down at every opportunity which was strange. Especially when he no longer had a defender.
I had an even stranger game than that once.

Was playing against someone who went 2-0 up on me pretty early, he wasn't especially good but just got lucky with a couple of shots. I piled the pressure on and blitzed him in literally about 2 minutes, if his mate had gone to the toilet by the time he got back he was 4-2 down, that's how quick it was. This was all in the first half as well, so plenty of time for him to make a similar comeback.

Well, he was not happy about this and proceeded to score an intentional own goal straight from every kick off! Obviously I was thinking he was going to just do that all game then quit so it's only a 3-0 loss (which would have harmed my average goals for rec). I ended up actually playing the game just stopping him scoring so many own goals so he wouldn't quit, ended up 9-2. To be fair to him, although he did spit his dummy out he didn't quit.

I think it's something to do with your modem. Some modems have standby and XBL doesn't seem to pick it up as a disconnect when people switch them to standby.

This is how it was done in FN3 anyway, people could just switch their modem to standby if they lost and as it had not technically disconnected from the EA servers they would not get the loss on their rec.

Can't blame the people for doing it, we know there is cheating scum out there who would take advantage if things like this, it's down to the developers to sort it out.

I just had a rather rude and abusive scouser. Before the game had even started he was telling me what a C I was and how he would beat me so bad I wasn't to quit like a little girl.

He went 2-0 up in about 30 minutes. I was then clear through on goal and he cut me in half. He had one sent off. I quickly scored twice bringing it to 2-2. I then scored in the extra time first half to make it 3-2.

Then with 5 minutes to go I made a mistake. he was through on my keeper and I took the risk and cut him down. Got me man sent off and he was going nuts at me. Dirty this dirty that. This from the same guy who cut me down 1v1.

He didnt score from the free kick but did in the melee rebound.

Finished 3-3.

Was a bit dissapointed. Especially as it's the family zone.

Shame you didn't beat him.

Yeah when I went 3-2 up I thought it was mine. Don't think I will bother with too many more ranked games, can't see me ever winning 100. I would go for the achievement but think it will be more trouble than it's worth.

Tbh most people are easily beatable, only took me a week or so to get the achievement once I started to go for it.

If you simply want to do it for the achievement you could just play people from the lower divisions.

Does anyone know if Konami will be updating this game to prevent lag? Coz atm its almost unplayable online and the single player is laughable compared to FIFA.

Dont understand people doing that.. your conceding goal rate will hit the ceiling.

Hehehe there is no lower division than the one i'm in :D

Just wanted to post about this.

Most of the time when this 'freeze' occurs, it isnt anybody cheating at all. Its a problem with konamis shoddy netcode and the games go out of sync. This is why a lot of you are saying 'after i scored he paused and then it hung' but in reality on his game something else was happening and you were in all intents are purposes playing 2 seperate games, on the other persons they may have scored. it hangs after going out of play or scoring because it then realises theres a problem, but just hangs.

I know this to be the case because I have had it happen on non ranked games (why would anyone cheat here), have had it when i am losing (again why would they do it when they are winning with 20 minutes remaining) and most clearly of all I have had it whilst playing against a real life friend.

Now i'm not saying its never cheating but you have to be aware that a lot of the time, i would say at least 90%, the guy isnt cheating and is in the same position as you, he's probably thinking your cheating aswell. Fairest thing to do imo is the player who's losing disconnects, if your drawing, who knows!

Ah, so it's a bit like DEFCON's net coding on the release date when me and a friend's game used to lose sync so badly we were nuking each other completely different places. I've also been told i was awarded a win when in fact it was me who had DCed due to the net going down.

I've also met a few where this seems to be the case, tho I disagree with the 90% figure you suggested.

Most of the time it's very clear that they are cheating (They either do it right after you've scored or just before full time, basically the exact time when they know they're not going to win it any other way)

As for the loser pulls suggestion, if only people thought like that. I've had this done to me 3 times now and each time I had been comfortably in the lead so I have 3 losses on my rec I shouldn't, 3 disconnects and a worse goals against average.

Had my first pause-cheater today, he was 1-0 up then I scored, about 40min in to the first half. Conveniently that was the point dinner was ready so I just went off, had that, came back and he'd disconnected :D

Had my first incident today... Not surprising after he blatantly fouled me to concede free kicks and got reds twice... He then proceeded to freeze it in extra time. Sent him a message asking what happened and he just sent one back saying 'LOLZ' Shame people like these ******* exist online  Needless to say, im impatient so couldnt be bothered to wait it out.

i actually managed to make it pause today

was playing a game against somebody was fairly even then my goally booted the ball into the centre where some brazilian (i assume) volleyed it straight into my net to make it 3-2 to him with 40 minutes to go.

whilst the replay was on i performed a certain action on my pad which i wont describe, which seemed to freeze the game, as this was in no way intentional i didnt want to be classed as a cheating homo i messaged the guy told him it had froze, we had a little chat and we just decided id give him the game cos it was a really nice goal lol

now im of the opinion that at least some of the freezes are not intentional but if im playing a frenchy im taking them to the wire.

id judge the incidents on the circumstances at the time anyway :D

That's what I would suggest and is what I would do when I played it.

I haven't bothered with it for well over a month now tho, basically since I got the 1000 acheivement points, the cheaters just **** me off too much. I'm a really bad loser at the best of times so getting cheated is just too much to take.

Even if some of the time when it freezes it's not people cheating, i'd rather just not play it than risk my rec to shoddy coding/cheating every time I play it.

Oh FFS! I've just had it happen to me again. All he did was repeatedly press his start button while the game was going on, it lagged out the connection and lo and behold he gets a 3-0 win...

Oh great, i have him again this time... maybe he will be a little more sporting... If it was an accident, lightning can't strike twice and all that.
