Problem with BitFenix Alchemy 6pin PCI-E extension

Hey guys I'm wondering if I have recieved a wrongly manufactured BitFenix extension. I was trying to plug it into my graphics card and felt resistant, so used a bit more power to plug in, however it would not and if I applied any more pressure the connector would break off.

Or has the 6 pin PCI-E changed for the newer graphics card, I'm trying to plug into a 5850.

Heres a pic of my cable, you can see that the top middle is a square (where it should be a triangular type connector) but bent a bit trying to put into my card.

Would be great to hear others experience, as I dont know what to do now, maybe try cut to shape :(

I had an issue like this with a molex to 6 pin adaptor I used for my old 8800gt a few years back as my psu at the time didn't have a 6 pin connector on it. I had to literally force it on!

your the one who took my 6-pin pcie blues! i have a massive order being delayed because of that! they were in my bascket first - givem back! :p :p :p

im glad their the correct ones - hopefully mine will be too :)

Will let them know and see if they have a suitable replacement in stock, otherwise will have to try and mod myself, don't want to wait longer, sending back etc...

Me and tankskun were two of the bitfenix comp winners.

They are very nice - Mmmmm so silky - blue plugs too which is nice (all the other blue braided cables have black plugs)

Should I mod it or return. Will ocuk even accept a return as I have now damaged the connector.
 
I'm not sure where you stand, I didn't even know there was a different revision, god knows why they changed the shape.

Ask in the Customer services section.
