Problematic Neighbour

You're really hung up on this 6am bit :p

it's not that early you lazy bum ;)

This is the time I'm usually just asleep for 1 or 2 hrs...

It is early if you're used to working until late.

You can make noise from 7 am, 6am is still ''silence time'', it's publishable by a 90€ fine here and idiots like this woman should be fined for such stupidity...

Your reply letter:

Dear neighbour,

I cannot read your letter as I am blind and my dog cannot read or speak. I also cannot see any damage that may have occurred in your flat. Please therefore take it up with my landlord.

Yours,

Hinary Bumface Fandango :)

War of the Neighbours continues..

Good news is the boiler problem was resolved however...

i saw this under my door today.. also see my official response back to the landlords + this Amanda person........

Hi Amanda

I am writing to you directly to acknowledge receipt of the note under my door advising of ‘’bumps’’ and ‘’noise’’ being produced from my flat during the day, May i first advise that any amount of noise would be to a bear minimal during the day for example between 9-5 as myself and my girlfriend both work so the flat is practically empty. On weekends however we may or may not be in for example i have overtime at work and Claire works every weekend anyway, i would like an example of times and dates of when ‘’bumps and noises’’ occur.

May i also point out this is the first complaint we have had from Napha regarding any noise from our Flat since we moved in and this does seem to be very coincidental considering the fiasco with the boiler problems so forgive me if my email is coming across as very negative.

I must also point out that on a very frequent basis myself and my girlfriend are kept up early hours of the morning typically between 12-4am from Napha’s Flat and this has been complained about officially as this affected my work performances due to lack of sleep.

Now, i must make this absolutely clear i do very much sympathise with Napha’s disability and i see myself as being a very reasonable person however if Napha is feeling ‘’bumps’’ due to myself and my girlfriend walking around the flat during the day i am unsure how i am to resolve this for Napha although i am open to suggestions. Noise from a First floor flat and being heard from a ground floor flat is unfortunately inevitable regardless of the persons situation.

I would also like to stress that i have a strong principle about noise being produced during the evening especially after 9pm to give an example we turn our TV down as well as while i am on my PC i will use headphones as i do bear in mind that noise can affect Napha in a very negative way, i will take on board the note that you have wrote on behalf of Napha but i am very much displeased about this complaint being made.

Kind regards
Dane

Girlfriends already talking about moving out.. which is kind of annoying as i do love the flat but its just her being a complete cow not to mention yet again using her disabilty against me again

Amanda seems to have a similar grasp of English and spelling as Napha - did you contact Plymouth Guild to reply to her? I don't think it's the kind of thing an advocate would do tbh!

Tell her to that Napha is in the advantageous position of merely being able to turn her hearing aid down.

yes i would be contacting the guild, get it straight from the start
she maybe partly deaf but she should not be using her disability against you

also i would be asking for the times the "bumps" took place, as if shes deaf in one ear she might not be able to make out where they are coming from and it might not be you who is making them
although from the letters shes not right in the head

whos responsible for the house insurance? surely its as simple as that? if whoever is responaible for taking out appropriate house insurance hasn't, it's tough and they should pay up. probably the landlord unless there's something in the contract saying tenant is responsible.

Amanda Holand doesnt have a great grasp of grammer. Maybe Naphas new boiler is about to explode and thats the bumps and noise she can hear?!

OP - are you and your girl at it like rabbits, causing all this "bumping" and "grinding" said nutcase is complaining about?

Nip this right in the bud from the start. You'll tend to find people such as Amanda and the tenant downstairs need a little friction and "excitement" in their lives. Once this gets in between their teeth this will be a constant ache for you.

These types also don't seem to come round to reason. The one thing i'm a bit confused as to why you haven't went ape at the other tenants landlord?

Plymouth Guild seem to be a charity/NGO to help vulnerable people. This Amanda person has probably been taken in by the girl downstairs from you.

It might sound like yet more problems, but it might be an opportunity to get things sorted out. If you can get this Amanda person to understand that it's not your fault, and you're not the bad one then perhaps there can be some kind of conciliation between you and the problems can be put behind you.

It's of course not your fault in the least, but dealing with it will make your life simpler. The email you've written seems to be a good step in that direction.

Bang Amanda, tbh.
