Hi everyone.
Got my Overclocked bundle in august and have been having increasing problems with it ever since.
I'll try and describe all of them as best as possible!
Firstly, the computer will only boot with overclock settings from COLD. If the computer restarts (soft or hard) then it does its usual power up / power down stuff and then defaults back to the original settings. If I re-enable the overclocked settings, I can sometimes get it to boot again (These are the settings that came with the board from O.C, the only things that have been changed are boot order, etc. Also, if the computer crashes which happens sometimtes, again this is a reboot so forces the settings out again.
I obviously don't want to play about with the settings and risk voiding my warranty!
Second problem:
I recently got a G19 Keyboard as a present. However the UD5 won't boot up if it's plugged in, just gets to the end of the memory test and reboots. (This happens with and without overclock settings) Computer was always fine with my G15.
Third problem:
I am now running on normal un-overclocked settings as I can't be arsed with the amount of times I have to start it up to get it working sometimes. This has bought back a problem I originally had and talked to O.C tech about. I get the dreaded capacitor noise! Seems random sometimes, normally when the computer is not under heavy load. This problem went away for a while and only seems to have come back after reverting to stock settings.
What do people suggest? RMA the lot? I'm at my wits end with this setup! I thought having an overclocked bundle would be the safest option as it would just work!
Specs:
Overclockers UD5 - Intel i7 @ 4Ghz - 6GB Ram (F10 bios)(Windows 7 RC)
2 x WD Black 640GB
1 x OCZ Summit 120GB
1 x WD Green 750GB
Creative X-FI
G19 Keyboard
Dell 24" Monitor
Asus 4890 GFX
Hope someone can help me get back to computing normality!
