Project Cars 2 is en route :D

OK so I been kind of a noob , the game was set a bit too bright so I made is a bit darker ..and it looks much better :)...also I had not done any settings with my in game stearing control so I had to adjust the stearing ratio and its now hadling much better :)

Only got to try it briefly before work and thus didn't have much time to fiddle but the first thing that I noticed is that the FFB is poor around the centre of the wheel on both a CSWv2.5 and an OSW. It actually feels better on a CSWv2.5. Won't comment on the physics as I didn't have anywhere near enough time to properly test them, on the two GT3 cars I tried it was a bit stuck to the rails but the cars are probably running conservative setups by default.

Visually it's a game that can look like a million dollars one moment and then really quite average at other times. The time of day and weather seems to play a huge part in whether the game looks amazing or just average. If you go to certain tracks using standard sunny afternoon weather around midday the game honestly doesn't look so hot, you can see how low res the track textures and environment are (just as you could in pCars1) but if you play on the same track at a different time of day such as when the suns settings the game starts to suddenly look a lot better... the impressive lighting engine can do its thing, snazzy Hollywood effects kick in such as lens flare etc, it starts to look more 'wow'. The cars (interior and exterior) and lighting in this game really do look amazing, the tracks and environment ? not so much... in-fact id go as far as to say they look worse than several other sims on the market such as AC.

Will give it a proper session when I'm back from work.

Well this is better than AC in my opinion.

Only problems so far are a bit of flickering (Stands/trees) and nobody can join multiplayer sessions this afternoon..

Playing with pad. Wasn't great out of the box. Reducing steering sensitivity to 45% and brake sensitivity to zero and now its much better. Still having a bit of trouble scrubbing off speed before corners. Not sure if it is a pad settings thing or I just need to increase brake strength in the setups.

One negative is there is a definite lack of sense of speed. The only camera that gives you a sense of speed is bumper cam, the others feel like your gran is driving.

We'll let you sneak in haha. Have you got it and not played it, or not at all?

Also found out the Mazda drift car I cannot use.

It downloaded last night but haven't had chance to get on yet...bloody work gadnamit, I was going to sneak some cheeky laps in this morning but the dog had been sick so got distracted.

I was all ready to jump into this after work having preloaded it overnight on my rural internet connection, but it looks like there is a patch or something else going on. Steam is giving an eta of 30 minutes sigh! Edit: spoke to soon, all ready to go now...
