Sure, it can help you learn the layout, but don't rely on it for anything else.
I don't mean to be harsh, but if you're 9 seconds off the top after practicing for an hour with a line that tells you what to do, then you're not ready to be racing online and will likely be a liability to others. I'm not trying to **** on you or kill your fun, it's just reality based on experience
Once you've learned how to drive around a track using proper lines, proper gear choice and braking points, you can apply that to virtually any track and learn it fairly quickly without having to rely on the driving line.
Sure, you may or may not be challenging for pole with the quick guys, but you'll be a better driver once you learn to rely on yourself after you've learned proper technique.
