Project Cars 2 is en route :D

How can you tell what assists you have on? I have it set to 'realistic', or whatever it's called, so it sets whatever the real cars have set but I think I have some sort of stability control on as the car feels glued to the track and slides are a lot more controllable than I think they should be.

I think the Ginetta Jrs are my favourite car so far. You can really throw them around, I wish you could shorten the gear ratios a little bit. I'm currently #1 in the Ginetta Jr around Donington National. I wonder how long that'll stay there for. My potential is a 1:25.9 so there's room for improvement if someone pips me.

I loved PCARS but quickly got bored due to the single player campaign being naff and boring, has this been changed in the new game? £45 is a lot of cash for a game with poor singleplayer.

Also I'm on the following specs:
1440p screen
1070
12gb
2500k

Can I expect decent performance with this setup? Worried about my CPU really.

Just about every other sim I've played and watching other people online.

I can have my foot flat to the floor in the Ginetta coming out of T1 at Knockhill sideways in the wet and it won't spin. I ran some laps in the GT3s yesterday and it felt the same. The cars seem almost impossible to spin unless I get on the grass.
The GT3 cars all have TC, have you turned it off? I can't speak for the Ginettas yet cause I'm just about to start them.

However everything I've read from professionals they say that cars generally aren't as hard to drive hard as they are in simulators.

I play on a 5K Mac @ 2560x1440 with decent enough graphics so you should be fine.

No, TC and ABS set to 'realistic' so they should be the same what they're like on the real cars.

If it's supposed to be like that then that's fine. I just wanted to make sure I didn't have a stability aid turned on.

Yeah, it does. It's rare that hardcore sim fans have real world experience, and Neverwinter is right. Generally most of the cars aren't as difficult to drive as some sims make you believe - they make you feel like a hero, which is why idiots end up binning expensive mid engined sports cars. Not because they're a huge handful.

Really enjoying the Clio Cup at the moment (G27 with Jack custom FFB)
