The Group 5 cars are pretty epic, not as good as the DRM mod for rFactor but still really good. I feel like you need a clutch and H-shifter to get the most enjoyment out of them though.

TH8A (thrust master). £110 roughly. Well worth it if you want gear shifter. Gotta be dedicated though.

Logitech one is ~£35. If it's anything like the G25 shifter then it'll be pretty flimsy with little resistance. It looks like they've removed all of the buttons now too.

TH8A is very good, although pricy. You can loosen and tighten the shifter as well, have mine on fairly loose.

I've just backed it to get a 5K headset...I must be mad...£260-odd is a bargain for this if it works though (reviews seem to be positive), if it does I will probably get that much back for the Rift and then it's a free upgrade. Will find out around Jan-18 when it's scheduled to ship...now to start planning the new PC build, 1080Ti will be required I think.

Nice, any reason why you not go for true 4K, by getting the 8K headset ?

For the extra 140 i think i would go to 4K per eye, if i was buying, but then i guess your need 2 x 1080ti or the next gpu.
