...and as reliable as your average uk public transport provider. Go for the Logitech is my recommendation after using both manufacturers product.
That's a bit like saying buy a Nissan Micra instead of a ferrari because ferraris break down more often. Anyway it's not an issue if you buy from a decent retailer with a good returns policy.

I bought a hardly used 2nd hand T500 and the only thing that I've had to change is the switches for the paddle shifters. I've read the cooling fans are a bit flimsy but so far it's ok. That said I ran a G27 before that for 3/4 years without any hardware issues (the odd software glitch). The T500 is a much better wheel overall, I don't think the T300 is far away from it. To be honest if it was your first wheel after playing gamepad, either would be a revelation in terms of the experience. Rather than Ferrari vs Nissan Micra, more Ferrari vs a bus pass...in that situation.

I got my first ffb racing wheel on Tuesday and although I'm utter poop with a wheel compared to a pad I'm having so much more fun :) I'm much much slower with a wheel but could never go back to pad now, even coming last or back of the grid I'm enjoying it more than I did with a pad and hopefully I will get as good with a wheel after lots of practice

You do get used to it, I was the same.

It took me 3 months 2/3 times a week to match my gamepad times when I switched. Couldn't go back though, however with the switch to VR I was almost instantly quicker...

Loving this game, like a lot of people I was tempted into my first ffb wheel with me already having vr and I can't believe how much fun it is. I'm bitten that bad I'm saving for a osw wheel and some new pedals along with a sim cockpit. I went with a g920 and cant fault it for a first time user.

This game has made me realise how boring and grindy playing cs and pubg had gotten, I have no desire to touch them again, a revolution!

Also for anyone wanting more immersion, try the shakeit ffb pedal mod, for around a total of £15 it's a no brainer and amazing!
