Project cars benchmarks

This forum would still be blaming the developer and/or NVidia if the developer hadn't for once come out and defended their corner.

Indeed, you could see how this very thread was going down the same tired old track of AMD fans blaming everyone but AMD. It's nice to see a developer call their **** for once.

Perhaps AMD should spend less time and resources on stupid videos, forum shills and dead in the water API's, and more time and resources on their sub standard driver team.

Agreed ^

And if AMD worked with the project cars developers neither the AMD or the developers can touch or optimize the Gameworks code without the permission of NV.

Yet performance was great in a recently released Gameworks title (GTA5) and even working xfire from day one, lets not forget the AMD only shadow tech like Nvidias is also in there.

So its clear that is not strictly true even in evil evil nvidia gameworks titles AMD can talk with developers optimize drivers and get games working fine if they really want to.

It's the first and only title to do so ...

Batman AO (with hardware phsyx off), Watch dogs, WOW (v6.1+), Titianfall (after one of the later patches) are gameworks titles which AMD cards preform around the same level as the nVidia equivalents, some times worse sometimes better but close.

I could say the same in reverse AMD gaming evolved titles preforming roughly the same on Nvidia as AMD (with maybe the exception of Hardline or Tomb Raider) To blame nvidia gameworks is just a theory at best and at worse scaremongering.

Sometimes games preform badly on a vendors cards from time to time. sometimes its down to the dev's or in this case looking likely in this case its down to the vendor.

You obviously don't remember what Watch Dogs was like in the weeks after release ... which is the time where, from a PR perspective, performance matters most to card vendors. It was horrific for both, but worse for AMD ... AFAIK it was the first title to make use of all the GameWorks libraries. Titanfall didn't use the GameWorks libraries I don't think (or if it did it only used a very small subset), it was just part of the PR programme.

Rubbish, Dying Light, Watch Dogs, both of those run superb on AMD as well, i get 70+ in Dying Light maxed out @1080p, and reviews show the 290s beating the 780 Ti in Watch Dogs.

Dying Light and Watch Dogs both have horrific performance still, on both vendors' cards. The latter is famed for it.

How is Dying Light maxed out at 1080p and 70FPS good? It hardly exhibits a great deal of graphical fidelity, world complexity or advanced AI ...

GTA 5 is not a NV sponsored title, it does not need to be a NV sponsored title to have NV features, where NV has actually sponsored then no AMD can not get involved before release with the first Batman game being a good example with AMD code being refused and then again with Batman Arkham Origins.

Apart from the whole 'devs reached out to AMD over the past 6 months and got ignored thing', yea.

Seeing as the developers is known for his heavy bias against ATI/AMD since Need for speed shift and you dont know what transpired and what was said then it means absolutely nothing and carries as much weight as NV saying that the reached out to offer physx to AMD but AMD was not interested when you have no idea of the terms.

Eh!?? DL is fine for me maxed out at 4k

edit - Tell a lie, dropped my viewing distance to about 3/4

I got Dying light on release and it runs really well for me as well.

In reality, I feel that AMD have maybe cut critical jobs to save cash and the lack of game support is really starting to show (as seen with Project Cars). I hope they can turn it around mind and get back to good support for new releases. Maybe they didn't think PCars would be so popular but reading around, it has a massive fan base.

Lol, lol, lol, lol, lol, lol, save cash, lol, lol, lol, am sorry but please just stop.

Well as some users have said that it was working fine before on AMD than NV gets involved and then its not, just like Crysis 2 was fine in beta then NV gets involved than CF was broken on release.
