Project Corsair 900D

If you could find some leds the same colour as ur fluid I would say yes and hide a few to create nice glows behind things like your reservoirs etc. But I have never seen leds that colour.
The case needs something to light up all those cool components at night time for sure.

I would think those mobo fittings will catch light nicely. Go for it.

Also the rear res would look good with some exposure.

I started sleeving the 24pin ATX last night, but I find sleeving to be a very slow process.

I also needed to resolve the fact that 2 pins from the PSU go into a single one on the motherboard side, and also there is a pin missing on the motherboard side.

So I have added a plastic cable joiner (you know the ones with a couple of screws in that allow you to attach cables togeather, heatshrunk over it, and it will hide behind the motherboard.

I have also added a false pin which I will heatshrink to another one behind the motherboard tray.

It will probably take a couple more days for me to finish this off as I'm not at home tonight.

I was going to use the 4+8 pin extension that comes with the motherboard, however I have re-pinned one of the PCI-E cable to match the 4 PIN and remove the extra pins (else I would have had to use the above connecters for 4 of the cables instead, which i am averse to doing), so it makes more sense to use 2 cables from the power supply instead.

Then later I will do the SATA cables and the 4 pin MOLEX connector.

I'm still uncertain if I'm going to resleeve the fan cables, however I am doing the Aquabus connectors as the sleeving is really loose and you can see straight through it.

I thought Noctua was going to make some Black fans anyway? I saw a few pics of these posted on some E3 coverage? I Think they still had the brown corners but the main body of the fan was black!

Would be better suited to this build though as you can paint the corners to match your colour scheme!

As previously stated I will be dying the fans once I have run them for a while.

I've seen some black Noctua fans for sale in OCUK ages ago, but it looks like they have been taken down.

Looks good Jester :)

What color dye are you planning to use on the fans? just curious.

I'm sure the end result will be epic!

I think i'm going to do the Fans Blades in black and the chassis to match my cabling so Black / white purple black.

Although there have been a few setbacks, which I will go into once I've done some more testing.

Most of the stuff has now turned up (I'm still missing a single SATA cable).

Ok So there's been a brief hiatus....

However there will be more updates tonight.

Wow, I can't believe the number of issues I've had....

Right. Testing is completed.

There was an issue with one of my power cables (nothing to do with anything I'd done, it was the MOLEX / Floppy converter for the AX1200i).

To cut a long story short; it fried my RAM and my Mobo.

Sad times.

The fact that I'd installed water blocks on everything yada yada yada meant that I had to buy new components.
At the time I was concerned I'd fried at least one of my Titan's and I spent quite a few days panicking.

Anyway, parts are now replaced installed and that system now boots! YAY!

However it appears that it's also taken my USB hub with it... which is a shame, as I need to get a new one.

However It has given me a huge opportunity to finish sleeving all of my cables (I've got a few left to do, but I think we're almost there).

I will take some photos tomorrow as I've finished all of the exposed sleeving, Installed the Aquaereo. Refitted the motherboard / ram blocks with the new kit and refilled and leak tested the loops.... Good times.

Right, having finished all the cabling, etc. I really do think that it needs some lighting.
Given the amount of work / cash I've put in it just looks so dull (also the LEDs on the RIVE are very obvious)

Currently up and stable @ BLK 125, 36x multi (4.5ghz) & 2000mhz RAM (looking into getting some better speeds on this).

At normal operation we're at CPU temps of 30c & GPU's @ 24c and 27c

Also I don't have a single fan running above 600rpm.... so it's so quiet!!!

Which is pretty awesome.

Prime95 pushed the CPU to 50c and the cores no higher than 60c, which I'm pretty pleased with.

However the RAM does require some work!!
